    I think Ed's top 3 are:
    Rearviewmirror
    Not For You
    Porch
    I think Stone's top 3 are
    Black
    In Hiding
    Animal

they have done so many collaborations, that it is hard coming up with the 3 best that they did individually

I'm actually surprised to see how low mike is

Given to fly is mikes masterwork imo. The rest of his song writing is good but no wjere compared to stone, Jeff or Ed.
Very true, he writes good songs but i think he is a master at adding leads over other songs

yeah not so much if I hear "nothing's there" one more time, I am going to go crazy, I find myself avoiding bootlegs with that have UK on it, and the thing that ultimately tipped it in favor for Ed were songs like Severed Hand and Insignificance, his lyric writing is amazing on so many songs, even on music other people wrote, most of the songs he writes the lyrics for, but if it is just strictly riffs I would go with Stone, but Pearl Jam songs without Eddie's poetry infused into them, not sure I would be the fan I am today

Eddie's best lyrics are phenomenal (even if his worst are abysmal), and his style of lyrical composition is amazing, which is why he takes it for me. My second pick would have been Jeff. I love the darkness and creativity of his style. He's my favorite side-project band member by a long shot.

Stone's work on Binaural puts him just over Ed for me. Rival and Of the Girl are 2 of my top 3 favorite songs and Stone did those all by himself.

I wish Stone had a greater contribution on the last several records.

+1 We haven't seen a complete Stone PJ song since Binaural right? Hard to say why that would be, he seems to be way overly critical of himself so I assume he keeps it for his solo stuff out of fear for it not being good enough for PJ.

Which Ed lyrics do you think are abysmal? Never had that reaction to an Ed composition although I agree that some lyrics are more profound than others.

There aren't many. Just a few (and IMHO). Ole. Unthought Known. The Fixer. A couple more, but I'd rather think about all his awesome lyrics, not the few I hate.

    Insignificance, for example. :)

Very difficult to choose, but mikes compositions have had deep emotional impact with me, given to fly, sirens, force of nature, marker in the sand and his masterpiece inside job. He's songwriting credits with Eddie have always been album highlights for me, particularly present tense and come back. But you can't really elevate any member above another each have written brilliant songs, without the jigsaw wouldn't be complete .
