Video of Mike Watt, backed by EV, Dave Grohl and Pat Smear from the Jon Stewart Show in 1995
Not sure if this was ever posted here:

I tried, but that was awful. Mostly the vocals/lyrics... not my thing.I'll ride the wave where it takes me0

Wow crazy!! Guess this grouping was better live. I thought so at least!korn-1 said:I tried, but that was awful. Mostly the vocals/lyrics... not my thing.

I used to watch this a lot. Wish I'd gone when the tour came through Toronto, but didn't know who the backing band was until afterwards. Truthfully I didn't love that album, but still sould have been cool to see live. The member formerly known as Scratched Vinyl0

Also, Jon Stewart used to have the coolest musical guests. As much as I love his show, a part of me misses his old format. The member formerly known as Scratched Vinyl0

I love this video, and I love the song. . . .I also love the album. Not every song is a hit, there are plenty of home runs on it.
I'm also disappointed I missed this tour, 94 & 95 are when I really started going to shows frequently, and this one would have been awesome to see.0 -
That was fun!.......... I like it.0

A few things: the song was hideously horrible. I hate the constant finger slide on pats guitar. Eddie seemed uncomfortable. I forgot how good Dave Grohl is on the drums.0

still love it.
20 years on, it's interesting to note that Mike Watt broke a fucking bass string during the song. That takes some aggression, kids. Something you really don't see on Tv show appearances.
I think that tour/album was probably huge for EV in reminding him how things could be done. PJ was such a monster thing at that time. Get in the van, small club shows, get back in the van, next city.
