I like this thread and I'll bite
One of my favorite little things is the random kiss or hug either from me to my husband or vice versa. No occasion, no need, just acting on the moment.
No order of importance mostly taken from this day.
Those two hours right after work where I play with my daughter. Getting excited over a song idea and saying goofy shit to my bandmate like 'yeeeeah boooooooi' Every night the last thing I hear before I fall asleep is the sound of some shit blowing up on the show SHIELD on my wife's laptop When my parents come and visit & grill up steaks from Meninos. Having not one, but 3 jobs that I love and a career I am passionate about. Being with the same beautiful woman the last 14 + years. Small mugs for espresso Shrimp off the grill only if Matt Cluthe makes it All the PJ records on vinyl Kaldi's 2 shot lattes (called The Toddler) A warm coat & shoes on my feet The Shore Medtronic for keeping me alive everyday to enjoy all this A director who not only respects me as a clinician, but actually likes me! Grad school debt - a monthly reminder of all I put on hold to educate myself first before anything else Dancing to LaBamba in my living room with my daughter Getting greeted by my cairn terrier Gertie Lee every day with a wag and ears pinned back. Sharing things passed on to me (like PJ bootlegs). Having a very small circle of 'real life' friends that I love and care for. Did I mention silver patron?
Hearing my cat purr in my ear as I fall asleep ( or try to) at night. Knowing that there other peoe out there in the world that get my obsession with this band. Going to shows and meeting you guys in person, that's the second best part of going to shows. Auto correct ( most of the time), you guys would NOT be able to read what I type without it!! Lol My family, cause they are my lifeline,y world, and my only IRL friends for the most part. Music in any situation.

No, but I love those movies/shows as well. I love the personal party I throw myself every Friday night after we get my 5 month old son down to bed. My wife curls up on the couch to watch some TV and doze off and I go down to my den and make a strong drink or 3...watch some sports and then have my Friday night cigs out on the patio. End up staying up late into the night getting sloppy and savoring the ability to be wrapped up in my own sordid business for an evening after the hectic week. Saturday morning it is back to reality but oh how I love my Friday Night Personal Parties.
Watching the sunrise over the mountains, spilling into the valley below, like liquid gold..shadows bending, stretching, and eventually dissipating as the sunlight cascades over the landscape. Watching this process in reverse as the sun sets, painting the the skies with a whisper and sometimes a shout of brilliant color and hue. Getting to spend this time with my Dad before he dies.. Even though it's really difficult to see him struggle through his bad days. The smell of fresh brewed coffee as I do my morning Bible studies, and enjoy the quiet beige everyone else wakes up. Music playing on my turntable ( I miss that). Need to go get some records back.. And reading everyone else's responses.
Friday night with my sons - simple dinner, watch DVDs and 'camp out' in the living room.
Giving out donated holiday gifts and food hampers to clients in need.
The fortnightly hug and kiss I get from a client who is terminally ill - that she chooses to spend time with me sharing her fears and memories during her final months is a gift and a privilege.
I enjoy spending time alone at home, where I don't have to worry about what anyone thinks of me. I enjoy the satisfaction I get from helping others, even with something small. I enjoy exercising and playing sport because it's the only time my mind is truly free....
The perfect amount and texture of foam atop my latte ~O)
The terribly annoyed look on my 10yo daughters face when the lady cutting her hair yesterday played taylor swift bc she was certain she would like it )
The soft and sweet little spot behind my 7yo son's ears and that he still let's me snuggle him there.
That my 15yo daughter wants to run home and tell me stuff and I can't wait to tell her stuff too.
The beach in jersey in February. Brrrr!
Playing a bootleg from the show I attended and not peeking at the track list pretending I don't know what's coming to recapture those amazing moments of "oh shit! I can't believe they're play this one!"
How about you?

One man's trash......
What's yours?
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot?

Coming home to my wife, dogs, and daughter (listed in the order I met them), browsing for vinyl, my first sip of coffee, meeting other PJ nuts.

Leaning back on the couch, watching Bourdain visiting Jamaica, hitting the bowl each time its huge resource wasn't mentioned when it should.
Trying to ignore the ridiculously-unsubtle moves of our cats to be fed.
Recognizing and giving thanks for these bits of time when all is well.

As for the little things....hearing my hedgehog sneeze. It always makes me smile.
Those that can be trusted can change their mind.
I could snuffle up those ears! And top o'the nose.
Well done, derby.
