I meant that turner isn't going to play the point with holiday here. he can't play the 2. and by having him primarily at the 3 it's not utilizing him to the best of his abilities. This is why I don't think he's a great fit.

You keep saying 'healthy bynum'. might as well talk about unicorns and leprechauns

I like thad young, but he's pretty inconsistent. Doesn't really have a position or an outside game.

I definitely don't like them as much as you. But that's not breaking news...we have been having this discussion since turner got drafted.

Like I said before...getting rid of the iggy/brand salaries was the easy part. The tough part is adding the right pieces. Even with some cap space (like you said, for a change), they're still in a shitty spot. Bynum is gonna be a lose-lose scenario due to his health and the amount of money he's going to command. And they are likely going to have to overpay for any big ticket FA they try to sign. There is so little room for error with FAs. There will be a tremendous amount of pressure to hit on their signings. last thing we want is another brand/webber/geiger like bust, which will again set them back for the duration of said contract.

The way I see it, they have one piece in holiday. The rest is crap. I wouldn't give bynum the amount of money it's going to take to sign him, which makes that trade a colossal failure (again, I think either way they end up losing that trade since they can't depend on bynum being on the court). so they need a frontcourt, a shooting guard, a bench, and a coach.

    thank god for the flyers

this is why I'm a no show here...not fun to debate unless there's a chance you can lose.

funny how you've completely stayed out of the Flyers thread after being proven completely 100% wrong about Jeff Carter (ever team has 5 forwards better than Jeff Carter you said...fucking hilarious) and the direction of the franchyise when you loved where they were a few years ago and the Eagles thread after trashing the Chip Kelly hire even more than i did. funny how you are silent in those these days. i imagine if/when the Hinkie era doesn't go as well as you think you will disappear from this one as well.

can you tell us all again how no one believes Aaron Gordon is a top 10 pick even though he went 4th? or tell me how Shaq wasn't on the Heat's 1st title team and wasn't very good even though he was in fact on that team and was 2nd team all NBA that season?

so that was interesting. nerlens kind of held his own last night. not sure how he can only come away with one board but he was constantly making things difficult for howard down low--disrupting entry passes, getting some steals and stuff. very encouraging.

I didn't get to watch much of it but it sounded like he was fronting a lot which would make it more difficult to get rebounds. Obviously, I'd still like him to get more than one. KJ looks like a player.

    zero win pace :D

watched a decent amount last night. one of my biggest complaints about NBA is the end game is just ridiculous. too long and too many possessions. hate hate hate that you advance the ball to half court after timeouts at the end.

i wish both College and NBA would adopt the international rule on timeouts that a to can only be called on a dead ball.

And LIMIT the amount of timeouts too. But, TV will NEVER let that happen.

Noel didn't play and Cater-Williams is out until next week but yea this team is atrocious.

Raptors got a nice team. If Cleveland continues to struggle and Derrick Rose is never fully healthy wonder if Toronto can make a run at being the best team in the East.

so how about the NBA commish coming out and admitting that sports gambling should be legalized in this country? Pretty huge leap considering the leagues have fought against it for years. I've thought for a long time now that the leagues are missing a huge revenue stream by fighting against gambling. If they could figure out a way to get even a little slice of the pie from it the revenue generated, along with advertising, could be enormous. Always hated the NFL stance against gambling as they ignored the fact that gambling is probably the #1 reason it's league is the most popular.

they're ripping your boys pretty bad on some of those shows I watch :-$

If nothing else, everything from tickets to bëër ought to be half off until your ownership decides to put an NBA product on the court.

not that i care or that it matters, but bret brown's coaching at the end there was awful. mcw cannot shoot the ball yet you have him take an 18 footer as the clock winds down? how about driving to the basket or something?
