Two of the three teen suspects in the ice bucket challenge case won't face any criminal charges as they have been entered into the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court Community Diversion Program.
19 Action News Investigative Reporter Scott Taylor just learned the two teens who faced disorderly conduct charges will not have to enter a plea in court.
Five teens are accused of dumping a mixture of water, urine and tobacco spit on a 15-year-old boy who is autistic in Bay Village, Ohio last August as a prank in connection with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that swept across the Nation this summer.
If the two teens complete the program they will not have any official court record. The three other teen suspects still face assault , disorderly conduct and delinquency charges. They will face a judge in court next month.

Exactly! Kids like these need to be held responsible. A taste of their own medicine would be a good start. But in all seriousness, they need help. Who knows what's going on at home to make them do What they did to this poor kidhedonist said:Thank you, and I don't literally want to violate them - they're nowhere even close to the level of some who might merit a certain level of punishment by my own terms...but part of me gets great mental satisfaction from the thought of a hearty bitchslap to each of these little shits. My head knows it has no place in reality and their becoming better people.
A little fantasy, I suppose.
I just feel so bad for the poor kid. It's like some even more fucked up version of Carrie.

I read the short descript and never watched the video , but I am assuming that two of the five kids were not part of the planning- finding themselves as participants in that they never stopped the event from happening (joining in on the 'fun' as well).
I'm not sure their lives should be over from this event if their level of culpability is different from the 'masterminds' who planned and executed it. With that said, I don't exactly think the other three should be hanging from a bridge either.
Don't get me wrong- this was brutal... but I think we should slow the train down. I remember being 15 and getting caught up in stupid shit. The brains aren't fully developed yet- in particular the part that measures consequences for actions (not just for oneself but for others as well). Kids are prone to making errors of varying magnitudes.
Maybe I'm getting soft? I don't know.

TMI, Thirty

I too did plenty of things in my teens that make my current self shake my head. It was spontaneous shit though, and never aimed to hurt or humiliate another.
This act took time and planning - plenty of opportunity to THINK, to realize it's a fucked up thing to do, to choose not to participate in the end.0 -
Well... this is what I was getting at. The old "It seemed like a good idea at the time" on the part of the two kids who will be receiving lighter consequences.hedonist said:TMI, Thirty

I think we can all envision a scenario where two guys get 'let in' on a prank when it is about to happen. And, if we are being fair, not all kids have the moral compass to think the prank through without much time to do so and make the correct decisions or exert the proper leadership to remedy the situation.
If this type of scenario is close to being correct... then the 'two' kids need some measure of leniency. The 'planners' on the other hand are a different story.
