    the low level of some people is beyond words. disgusting that scumbags like this could take something being done for good and turn it into something disgusting for their own kicks. sub level human behavior and sadly they are probably juveniles and will get off easy. we need to lower the juvenile age in our justice system or eliminate it all together in my opinion.

    So think of that when I get down on human race. Yeah we 'll strip the planet of all the beautiful creatures that have evolved over millions of years but they will come back once the virus has killed itself off.

    Not a revenge type of person but in this case tooth for a tooth, eye for an eye. National TV. Some carefully selected ingredients. Ha. Okay we shouldn't do that but now understand why some gravitate to death penalty, the revenge thoughts can be soothing. :D

    BAY VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) - Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty announced Tuesday that complaints have been filed in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court against five youths who humiliated a classmate by dumping a bucket of urine, tobacco spit and water over his head shortly before the start of the school year – and captured the act on video.

    Based on evidence gathered during a thorough investigation by the Bay Village Police Department, three of the juveniles were charged with two counts of delinquency, Assault and Disorderly Conduct. The other two juveniles were each charged with a single count of Disorderly Conduct.

    A team of prosecutors from the Juvenile Division of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office reviewed the evidence in consultation with Bay Village Police and recommended charges. The family of the victim also has been consulted and concurs with today's charging decision.

    The five juveniles named in the complaint – which is the Juvenile Court equivalent of an indictment – range in age from 14 to 16.

    Bay Village Police will ask the three juveniles facing more serious charges to come to the police station, along with their parents, to surrender and be booked.
    They will then be released pending an initial Juvenile Court appearance. The other two juveniles will be summoned to appear before the Juvenile Court Intake and Diversion Office.

    The victim, a special needs student, was assaulted on August 18, on private property in Bay Village. The event was reported to Bay Village Police on September 3.

    Evidence indicates the five charged juveniles and the victim were friends who regularly socialized together. On August 18, the victim was invited to one of the other

    boy's home, purportedly to participate in the ALS Challenge, a fund-raising effort for medical research that had by then become a social media phenomenon.

    Instead he was doused with water, urine and tobacco spit. The victim quickly realized what had really happened and felt humiliated.

    “The victim and the five charged juveniles were and are friends and classmates. They regularly associate with one another and, at times, engage in distasteful and sophomoric pranks,” said First Assistant County Prosecutor Duane Deskins, who heads the office's Juvenile Division. “However, this incident is clearly different. It crossed a moral and legal line, and even the five alleged perpetrators understand that and have expressed regret.”

    First Assistant Deskins added, “The charges recommended in this case strike a balance between punishment and rehabilitation. As the second oldest Juvenile Court in the country, the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court has a mission to ‘administer justice, rehabilitate juveniles, support and strengthen families, and promote public safety.'

    “The judges at Juvenile Court routinely see cases equally or more severe than this one and have a broad spectrum of tools, including detention, community service and diversion, to meet its mission and to deliver justice for the victim, his family and the entire Bay Village community.”

    I agree that this is a disgusting, vile act and the individuals involved should be charged. However, I'm pretty uncomfortable with the level of violence we're advocating against what are, basically, children, ages 14 to 16. 14 - that's pretty young. Sometimes when we are young we do things that are stupid but goofy, and sometimes we do things that are stupid and really cruel. Even so, I'm not sure I'd be advocating pool cues and slapping them around. 14 is maybe a little too young to give up on them. Did you ever do anything as a teenager that you really, really regretted later?

    But the planning put into this? Original story mentioned shit in that lovely mix. Even if that's aside, what was going through their heads while "spitting tobacco".

    It took time, coordination, maybe a high-five or three as they pissed into the bucket. And hocked loogies. And took multiple shits.

    Then placed it, ready to dump on the kid they "hung out with".

    Can / can't imagine that idiotic fucked-up giddiness.

    Sometimes simply expressing regret (thanks, attorneys of the kids!) isn't enough.

    hedonist, I've always known you to be a thoughtful poster. I wouldn't expect you (or, really, anyone on this board) would have acted like this, even as a teenager. And I agree, "expressing regret" doesn't cut it by a long shot. I still don't think that talking about violating the kids who did this achieves anything.

    Thank you, and I don't literally want to violate them - they're nowhere even close to the level of some who might merit a certain level of punishment by my own terms...but part of me gets great mental satisfaction from the thought of a hearty bitchslap to each of these little shits. My head knows it has no place in reality and their becoming better people.

    A little fantasy, I suppose.

    I just feel so bad for the poor kid. It's like some even more fucked up version of Carrie.

    & yes in the original report it did not for one second say water... it said: urine, feces, phlegm/loogies & cigarette butts. so in my mind here is what those little idiots had done... for a week or so these champions pissed, spit & crapped in a 5 gallon bucket they kept stored & hidden from whomevers parents, (where the bucket of sewage was) after school they ran home to wherever the bucket was & they peed & spit & smoked & pooped & they laughed at themselves & their upcoming nasty comedy act

    at 14 yrs old you can take a ass beating by the way. 14 year olds are quite pampered & catered to. if i were one of those little idiots, oh my god, my mom & dad would thoroughly fuck me up six ways from sunday. unreal the punishments i'd have to endure. someone above said weeks on end of boot camp. yeah that'd be me but at the house as mom & dad broke me down to a limp pile of crap

    i'd be doing nearly one thousand push ups & set ups daily
    i'd have to run 5-8 miles & maybe more
    hold out encyclopedias, arms straight out
    mop floors constantly
    wash walls & ceilings
    clean the bathroom
    run around the yard until they are tired of watching me run
    run down the road as they follow me in the car

    all this shit happened anyways, soooooo um
