I agree that this is a disgusting, vile act and the individuals involved should be charged. However, I'm pretty uncomfortable with the level of violence we're advocating against what are, basically, children, ages 14 to 16. 14 - that's pretty young. Sometimes when we are young we do things that are stupid but goofy, and sometimes we do things that are stupid and really cruel. Even so, I'm not sure I'd be advocating pool cues and slapping them around. 14 is maybe a little too young to give up on them. Did you ever do anything as a teenager that you really, really regretted later?my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0

oftenreading...I sure have though I don't think ever to that level; I knew better, sensed better. If anything, maybe (mis?)directed my anger and confusion at that age toward myself. No need to drag others into my business.
But the planning put into this? Original story mentioned shit in that lovely mix. Even if that's aside, what was going through their heads while "spitting tobacco".
It took time, coordination, maybe a high-five or three as they pissed into the bucket. And hocked loogies. And took multiple shits.
Then placed it, ready to dump on the kid they "hung out with".
Can / can't imagine that idiotic fucked-up giddiness.
Sometimes simply expressing regret (thanks, attorneys of the kids!) isn't enough.
Not even close.0 -
hedonist, I've always known you to be a thoughtful poster. I wouldn't expect you (or, really, anyone on this board) would have acted like this, even as a teenager. And I agree, "expressing regret" doesn't cut it by a long shot. I still don't think that talking about violating the kids who did this achieves anything.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0
-
Thank you, and I don't literally want to violate them - they're nowhere even close to the level of some who might merit a certain level of punishment by my own terms...but part of me gets great mental satisfaction from the thought of a hearty bitchslap to each of these little shits. My head knows it has no place in reality and their becoming better people.
A little fantasy, I suppose.
I just feel so bad for the poor kid. It's like some even more fucked up version of Carrie.0 -
I would sentence them to a ten week boot camp and fine their parents to cover expenses.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0

a strong (as hedonist put it) bitch slap right across each of their stupid fucking mugs would be liberating. do it so hard that they each fall down. sure it is a fantasy of mine. when they each turn 18 they are each an adult. fact is in my little time machine i can program my 15 year old self to come alive right now, some sorry ass kids will be bleeding. can't help it, that's how i am
& yes in the original report it did not for one second say water... it said: urine, feces, phlegm/loogies & cigarette butts. so in my mind here is what those little idiots had done... for a week or so these champions pissed, spit & crapped in a 5 gallon bucket they kept stored & hidden from whomevers parents, (where the bucket of sewage was) after school they ran home to wherever the bucket was & they peed & spit & smoked & pooped & they laughed at themselves & their upcoming nasty comedy act
at 14 yrs old you can take a ass beating by the way. 14 year olds are quite pampered & catered to. if i were one of those little idiots, oh my god, my mom & dad would thoroughly fuck me up six ways from sunday. unreal the punishments i'd have to endure. someone above said weeks on end of boot camp. yeah that'd be me but at the house as mom & dad broke me down to a limp pile of crap
i'd be doing nearly one thousand push ups & set ups daily
i'd have to run 5-8 miles & maybe more
hold out encyclopedias, arms straight out
mop floors constantly
wash walls & ceilings
clean the bathroom
run around the yard until they are tired of watching me run
run down the road as they follow me in the car
all this shit happened anyways, soooooo um

I'm with Chadwick, fuck these teenagers up. If I did something like that when I was a teenager, I no doubt would've gotten my ass kicked. Shit, we didn't even think about doing shit like this when I was 14. Wtf0

mr. badbrains, who threw down the law/punishment in your house when you were growing up & do you have any brothers or sisters?

I grew up with the "hand". If I stepped out of line as a kid, my dad or mom would def have no hesitation to smack me. My mom preferred the ear pull. That actually hurt more hahaha. But I also grew up knowing respect. In my culture when an older person walks into a room, it's customary to stand up and give your seat. I never really considered myself a "bad" kid or anything like that. Did the normal teenage things but never crossed the line, well, never got caught. Lol. We partied like no ones business but we all knew our limits and never abused anything, until I moved to the north east. But in so cal, you always have friends who have brothers that are older and show you the ropes of life. Surfing, partying, girls, etc. So in my experience, I was super lucky in that aspect. But I'm always reading about shit like this happening these days. And it fucken blows. How could people do this shit? Didnt these kids fathers hug them at all? Fuck me, shits crazy.chadwick said:mr. badbrains, who threw down the law/punishment in your house when you were growing up & do you have any brothers or sisters?

Aww, BB - I grew up in that same "offer your seat" culture.
No hand though - I was spanked all of one time (didn't hurt, but the humiliation was enough for me to never again meet that fate).
Now my husband...grew up with one older sister, two older brothers and a single mother who was NOT afraid to discipline as she saw fit. He's described many a time what happened the first time he ran into the street without looking for cars.
Whole other set of repercussions when he blew up the church bus in his teens..but that's another story

I always enjoy reading the comments in these threads, and get little nuggets from them. I don't expect I'll ever change my opinions on the use of violence; my values are strongly around nonviolence. However, on a positive note, I agree with chadwick about chia seeds.
