I watched this the other day. What was up with the people filming as it was happening within the mall?? At first I thought the scenes were reenacted, but then I noticed dudes with fancy camera equipment from the security footage. Did they just loot a camera store and start shooting as all this was unfolding? Either way, this doc was very well put together, but my goodness how terrible.PJ_Soul said:Terror At The Mall. Documentary on that awful terrorist siege in the Kenyan mall where 70+ people were killed. Mostly live footage from security cameras and commentary from survivors. Gripping documentary. And i noticed that people trapped in there dealt with it much better than I imagine north Americans would. They seemed to cooperate more with one another. Just a thought - I could be wrong. Anyway, the Kenyan authorities really fucking dropped the ball.... plainclothed police officers who went in on their own really saved the day for many people, including many children, while security forces bumbled around outside as people were being slaughtered inside for hours. So true bravery on the part of some (civilians as well as off-duty cops), and utter incompetence on the part of those who should have been doing something.

CBGB - it was ok, but not great. Could have been better considering the history of the place“Do not postpone happiness”

Watched a bunch of classics I really enjoyed recently:
The Green Mile
Good Morning Vietnam
Forrest Gump (don't ask how this one has somehow escaped me for all these years)
Also watched Saving Silverman...that one was dumb as hell"Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."

End of Watch
Quite good! And a really awesome soundtrack. Good enough to pick up vinyl, although I don't think there was a vinyl release.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

Holy effin' #$@! I just watched the new remake of Carrie that they just put on Netflix. X_X
It was so crazy good and disturbing all at the same time. The special effects made it like a whole different movie than the original. Anyone else see it?0 -
