Yes the box office did release tickets yesterday. They released about 40 or so around 3 or 4. They will be doing the same for tonights show too.0 -

I do not know. My friend heard it from someone so I can't even be sure it is 100% true or not. I would think there might be more of a crowd tonight if people are getting word out that they are releasing tickets. Sorry I can' tbe of any help.0 -
MylipsRshaking wrote:Ed also mentioned that he expected a different crowd more of a high roller type and was surprised to see so many hardcore fans.
thats what i figured too.. they were probably thinking a greatest hits type set list would fit the crowd best and when they got out there they were like " holy shit these people are hardcore".. tonight im sure they will go all out, it will be crazy too bad i can't goE-A-G-L-E-S0 -
My review:
I just got back and what a show!!!! Everything I was hoping for and more. I have been to about 15 shows in my lifetime, including both MSG's last year, and this one topped it all!
Where to start....
It was so close and intimate. The sound system is amazing. I got there right as doors opened (about 7) and ended up walking right up to about the 10th row of people on the floor, maybe 15 feet from the stage-dead center.
Ed came out and did the Bruce song No Surrender. One of my favorites and he nailed it. As he was heading off he said "This is going to be an even more exciting night than I thought." The crowd was going nuts.
Slater Kinney I wont talk much about because I am not a big fan. People were boo'ing them, which isnt really cool.
At about 9:15 pearl jam took the stage. They opened with a great version of long road, with dim blue lights showing only the shadows of band members. After that they started to ROCK. I mean this was hardcore. They ripped into about 5 awesome songs in a row.
At this point there was a lot of pushing and showing in the GA section. Like always some drunken idiots have to start moshing and pushing their way to the front. It calmed down after a few songs though, and I have to give props to all the people around me the rest of the night. We were able to dance and move around a bit, but there was no more pushing or rudeness. Just cool fans.
However, if you are going tommorow and have GA seats, be ready to get pushed a bit. It weasnt terrible, but its pretty tight. Just hope you are around some cool people.
After the first few songs Eddie addressed the crowd. He was concerned about safety all night. He kept asking if everyone was ok and asked people not to crowd surf (even after he asked some people still did, what idiots!)
The band was very into it tonight. Eddie mentioned several times that the crowd was a little different than he thought and they would have to adjust the setlist. He said he thought it would be "a bunch of high rollers and their kids" but he was wrong.
Most of the second set was acoustic, but sounded spectacular. They ended up playing for almost 3 hours!
Highlights for me were I got Shit (sounded amazing), Alive and Once played back to backk (shades of the early days tonight people!), and acoustic versions of Crazy Mary and Low Light. During Crazy Mary Mike went over to Boom and they were jamming out together near the organ and joking around...stone even got in on it. Eddie also kept us up to date on the yankees red sox score. He was very animated and wasted by the end of the show. He even just fell down at one point. He was smoking and drinking during the whole show!!!
Anyway great time. Worth whatever amount you spent on it. People going tommorow, get ready, youre in for quite an experience. If anyone has ?'s for me feel free to post them. Im gonna shower then check back! Cheers.0 -
After driving 2.5 hours, we were a little disappointed about not being able to get in, but I kind of expected it to go down that way. I did meet some other cool people from the 10 club though who also did not get in. I have to say that the most annoying part of the whole ordeal was watching numerous people going into the show from the bar area well after the show had already begun; and other people coming out of the show during this same time frame. I mean, do these people really want to be at the show or what? I guess it doesn't matter; you just need to have enough $ that you can pony up $600 for a ticket. I observed one very touching random act of kindness, however, when a gentleman offered up 2 tickets to someone in need, asking for no money at all in return. These are the kind of people I want rocking out next to me, not some preppy, fake fools who don't belong at the show to begin with. To quote Chris Cornell, "I'll be glad when they get the f*ck out of here. We don't need that sh*t!" -Keep rockin'Can't see my tracks,

One thing i can't stand more is when people judge a show by looking at the setlist. For fuck sakes you weren't even in the room."it feels like it's the end of the world and we all got a good seat. you know -- step right up, get your tickets...here we go."

Just wondering if there was a poster for the show.
PJ Sparks
ps. anyone who looks at a setlist, and says it looks boring, is an idiot, simple and plain. Go listen to State College 2003 and cue up Satan's Bed. Rare, yes, but they butchered it (kudos for the attempt). A killer version of Even Flow always gets people jumping.
Plus in addition to a stellar setlist, they got Eddie playing "No Surrender", and the amazing Sleater-Kinney (who we should be thankful we have such an amazing band to see open) who also played their great version of "The Promised Land". Sounds like a hell of a night.
pps. isn't the Hamptons just New York's version of the OC? Turn down the collar on your pink polo and shut the fuck up."You can bomb the world to pieces, but you can't bomb it to peace".0 -

I absolutely agree but everyone needs to ignore those types of posts because we're just giving that person exactly what he or she wants...attention. The Borgata setlist looks amazing and I am soooo jealous of all of you who are seeing them in such a small venue. Can't wait to see tonight's setlist! To all those who will be there, have a blast!!0 -
anybody win big at the craps tables? that's a dangerous thing to do after coming off a pearl jam high lolE-A-G-L-E-S0

Great show- my ears are still ringing! RVM, once, i got shit felt like standouts. plenty of energy from both the band and the crowd. Plenty of drunks in the house as well- some dudes could barely stand.
The important part is that the band rocked out. The guys looked like they were having so much fun by the end of the show.
As for the venue, its decent. Have to say, it was a little strange seeing PJ on a carpeted floor! The seated section looked like more of a comp crowd, the GA was rockin. I was center, halfway back and got some great pics. An added bonus: I won $120 at the roulette table after the show, so the ticket was on the house!0 -
My buddy had a comp'd room Thursday and Friday so we went down and decided to have a few drinks in the B bar. Inside there was a bunch of people in PJ's crew and security, so we knew the band had come in. We ran into another fan clubber who mentioned meeting Mike and Boom earlier that night. We walked around the floor a few times, didn't see anyone. Around 2am, we were walking past the poker room escalator and there's Mike Fucking McCready standing right there with a friend of his. I walked up to him, said his name once or twice and just thanked him for everything and asked for a photo. He kindly obliged. He seemed to be in a rush because he was with his friends and we let him go after maybe a minute of interaction. Later that night we were sitting at a slot machine and he fucking walked up to US!!! He said "hey guys, where are you from?" It totally caught us off guard. So there we stood by the Wheel of Fortune dollar slots talking to McCready for 20 minutes. He said that the new album had 8 songs completely finished and they had 10 to go and that Ed is doing shit he's never heard before. It has the same vibe as the Vs record when they were working on that, so that's awesome. He said that he tried to convince Ed to play some of the completed songs in concert, but Ed didn't want to because he didn't want to fuck them up before they were on the streets. He also said they didn't want to release unfinished tracks onto the bootlegs before the studio versions came out. Mike said his reasoning for wanting to play the tracks was for fan feedback, they could see if they needed to send a song in a different direction. Among other things he talked about gambling, the fan club, how they left St. Johns early not because of the hockey team, but because of the 11 hour ferry ride. He didn't care too much for playing that far away, but said the city was beautiful. It was an awesome conversation, and he was so down to earth, it was really cool. It was like I was talking to a long time friend. We asked for Footsteps and he said he'd talk to Ed and then he went on his way. Well, we didn't get Footsteps, but we got a great show.
People were in the area by the Event Center at 9am. I put my name on Oscar's list, which didn't end up getting used. They formed a real line at 2:30 or so I'd say. I was 15 people into the line. They let us upstairs at 5:45, but doors didn't open until 6:30. It was plenty of time to get posters, etc...luckily I had a friend who took it back to our room since I was 2nd in line to get into the venue at our security checkpoint. The people I was with in line were awesome...the truly dedicated. These people had been to almost all of the Canadian shows, there were mother's and their daughters and just a bunch of people I had met up in Canada too. When they let us in, security was really cool...I got up front on the rail by Ed and there I stood the whole show. The security guys in front of us were really awesome, they kept giving us water and were very social. Nice guys. The people around us weren't trying to beat the shit out of each other either. You all know the setlist, so I won't go into it too much, but for my first front row experience, it was totally worth standing up for almost 12 hours straight. Fucking amazing. Ed was looking out for the crowd the whole show saying it wasn't 1992, so no crowd surfing and to watch out for your neighbor as they've had really good memories at that type of show and also really bad ones.
Oh...they released 40 tix at 6pm. They were band extras. What were Once and Sad like, played live in such an intimate setting?
Did once have any of it's old lustre back?
maybe a little screamy-yell-y-eddie ?
& sad?If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -

Sad wasn't even on the setlist. They began deviating from it. Ed mentioned that they expected the room to be filled with high rollers and their kids, but he was thrown off by the amount of hardcore fans in the building. The first encore was really long too because he said that they had to figure out what to play because of the crowd not being what they expected. any show that gets blood, long road as an opener, state of love and trust, low light and whipping all in the same show is a pretty damn good setlist and to the see that in a small venue, i can't even imagine the energy in that place.'sometimes i have everything, yet i wish i felt something'0
