    If the tigers are still playing at this point i might have to make the pilgrimage back to Detroit for the show and a game.

    Still in shock that we got GA. I'll be a brand new Michigan resident, and can't wait to experience this show with my boyfriend, this is his hometown show that he's been waiting years for! Lots of exciting things :)

    Also: my best friend is looking for a GA ticket to this show, so ISO 1 GA Detroit ticket. I know, I know, the hot button ticket....but stranger things have happened on here. It would be incredible for my best friend be able to join myself and my boyfriend in GA. To have my favorite people surrounding me, all seeing our favorite band, would mean the world. Please PM if you can help!

    been going to the auto show for about 15 years. we make a trip from akron ohio every year. as for hotels, whatever you do, dont stay at the milner. scary stuff. im coming from akron and staying at the holiday inn express which is about 5 blocks to the venue. the doubletree and hilton garden inn are decent, but i got a good deal on the holiday inn, and coming solo this time, no need to impress anyone. two good spots to eat and drink are slos, and the sweetwater tavern. slos is a good bbq joint with a ton of good beers on draft, and hard to find whiskeys, although that could be dangerous before a show its across the street from the skeletal remains of the giant old train station. sweetwater is downtown and has the best wings ever! no kidding. ever.

    The NHL schedule came out today. The Red Wings have a home game against Boston the night before the show at 8 PM (Weds, Oct 15th).
    Using up my Ovaltine... like Ovaltine.

    Which Hotel is most people staying at? Considering we don't know where the Pre/Post parties are going to be. It looks like DoubleTree is all booked up, but there are still rooms available at the Crowne Plaza.

    I'm concerned about the walk from Double Tree. It looked convoluted to get to Joe Louis based on Google Maps. Anyone know any better?

    I'm at Double Tree as well. I think the site said easy walk to the Joe, take that for what it's worth...and I think I read earlier in this thread that you can walk thru the Cabo (?) Center, which is the building that looks to be in the way on the map.
