i haven't used flouride in my toothpasts for like over a decade except for the odd time away when you're borrowing someone else's toothpaste ... i go to the dentist every year and it takes him like 20 mins to clean out some tartar build up and what not but aside from that my teeth are healthy ... flossing is big ... but i think it pretty much discounts the need for flouride ... that is unless the amount in our drinking water is so significant that it makes a difference ... i will admit that i do pretty much only drink tap water ...

Nice! We have been trying to get Fluoride out of our water in Toronto for a few years now.
Many people I talk to in the city are aware of it, but I think sometimes were are just too easy going, and not always in a good way.

At the end, many people also feel that our governments or the people in charge would not do something to us that would hurt us. If they put it in our water, it must be good.

It's taken awhile ... now we're just waiting for provincial approval ... should be out of water by the end of April.

Lots of opposition to it but the council did the right thing ...

I have not read up much on it ... Glad it's coming out though. I can get floride other ways if needed.

Dang, I switched to Tom's because of Colgate being made in Mexico. I briefly used Rembrandt but then they took the made in USA off the label. I also remember switching to Tom's based on someone's recommendation here. I'll check out dr kens.

As far as the fluoride, ever watch how they clean up a minor spill? I'll avoid it, thanks. I feel the same about the flu shot, why add formaldehyde?

Fwiw, only my opinion and my doctor's, the biggest problem shoved down people's throats is the push towards diet soda. That stuff is killer.

I'll try and find/post the transcript of it then, just in case someone else also finds her speech/mannerisms 'troubling' :)

I think that is one of our problems, we should just focus on what is said, not really worry too much about 'how' it is said.

I agree. And sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the comment. I was just compelled to comment.

Does anyone else find it sad that the government can put chemicals into your water and that's ok, but if you want to take a little pot the government want you in jail ...
