Holy shit, this dude has skeletons
"In 2001, he was among five teens involved in burglary where somebody stole a gun. According to court documents, Johnson was persuaded to buy bullets for the gun by a friend's older brother. Later that month the brother, Steve Gillian, was charged with murder after shooting the victim multiple times in the head with that gun.
Because of Johnson's connection to the crime, he had to pay restitution for the theft and agree to testify at the murder trail. Gillian is serving life without parole."0 -
Maybe the next time he has the urge to do coke, he should just punch his girlfriend. Might get a lighter suspension. Oops, wrong sport.0

yeah but tiger is the only cheating dick on tour :-S0

If that glass table story is true, that guy has some stones. I wouldn't put my johnson near anything that could potentially slice it right off. A glass table? Seriously? That is asking for trouble.norm said:yeah but tiger is the only cheating dick on tour :-S

Yeah I was just thinking the same thing. Pretty sure you have to do a decent amount of coke for it to stay in your system for a few days. The week of the US open...this guy is a fucking maniac. Weird cuz he's having one of his best years of his career...imagine what this guy could have accomplished already if he wasn't such a mess.0 -
Ha, yeah, maniac sounds about right. I always thought the same thing about tiger after all that shit came out. Drugs are a bit of a different story but tiger clearly blocked all the other shit out when he was on the courseIndifference71 said:Cliffy6745 said:Seriously though, dude must have a pretty serious habit. Funny thing is, the tour doesn't announce suspensions. I wonder how many guys on tour have had similar "injuries".0

According to Business Insider, Johnson made more off the course ($4.5M) then he did on the course ($4.3M) in 2012. He is thirty years old.
His next 15 years are his prime sponsorship years. Let's say his sponsor money increases 5% each year ... That's $97M he will most likely lose out on. And I think that is a modest estimate.
It is interesting to follow the link to see what the top 20 make. Everyone makes more off the course then they do playing.

Please, he's not losing all his sponsorships. He's a top 5 American golfer who is suspended for 6 months for what is "reported" as coke. It obviously is but the reason the PGA doesn't announce these things is because everyone is on the same team and there is a ton of sponsorship money to go around. Having an electric and good player like Johnson on the tour is a good thing, even of he likes to party. He'll be back and he'll be making a ton of moneyJason P said:According to Business Insider, Johnson made more off the course ($4.5M) then he did on the course ($4.3M) in 2012. He is thirty years old.

and then there's this:
On Friday, Golf.com reported that Johnson had been suspended for six months. A few hours later, the PGA Tour said the report was wrong.
"With regard to media reports that Dustin Johnson has been suspended by the PGA Tour, this is to clarify that Mr. Johnson has taken a voluntary leave of absence and is not under a suspension from the PGA Tour," a statement read.0 -

In hindsight, you're right. He has tapped into an untouched commercial market. For years Gillette has just focused on men's facial hair. Now the untapped market of cutting rails of coke is wide open. Coke may even be interested in a dual sponsorship.Cliffy6745 said:

And AshleyMadison.com now has a prolific name to flag their product. The sky is the limit.
Combine that with the fact that Americans have an attention span of three days and you have a winning combo.
It's time for Dustin Brown to turn that frown upside down!
