The insanity of humankind, how can this be solved so no more revenges comes one after the other..
I saw photo of a Palestinian mother with her newborn child in her arms. She had taken shelter in a church along with many others. I wonder if this boy will experience peace or not in his life time..

Maybe enough pressure can be brought upon the U.S government so that they quit annually vetoing the peaceful settlement that the whole World agrees upon and supports, and which Israel and the U.S stand alone in the World in rejecting?

How was Apartheid South Africa brought to an end? It began with a small group of people protesting in Trafalgar Square, and ended as a mass international movement that involved boycotts, and sanctions, e.t.c. And it was eventually defeated, despite U.S and Israel supporting that racist regime right up to the end.

When dealing with statistics lets look deeper.50% of the population of Gaza is 14yrs old or younger. That alone statistically means your going to have more children injured or killed.Very unfortunate, very sad but but they are pawns.Their blood is on Hamas hands as much as the IDF.

Where did you read that 50% of the population is 14 or younger? Care to provide some evidence of that? Or did you just make it up because it sounded good?

As for responsibility, the IDF was found guilty on numerous occasions during the last full scale massacre of Gazans of multiple war crimes, including the deliberate targeting of unarmed civilians and medical personnel. But according to you it's the fault of Hamas, right? When Israeli soldiers deliberately shoot unarmed women and children waving white flags, it's Hamas's fault? When the Israeli's shoot and kill medical personnel and ambulance crews it's Hamas's fault? When the Israeli's drop white phosphorous shells on Gaza, it's the fault of Hamas?

And al Jezerra reports ambulances can't get to a war zone because intense fighting.

    http://www.aawsat.net/2014/07/article55334637
'Paramedics told Asharq Al-Awsat that they were “working in hell” because the Israeli army was “deliberately targeting ambulance crews and paramedics” who rushed to bombed areas to recover bodies and tend to the injured.

One paramedic, Ahmad Madhoun, 31, said that he and his colleagues had been targeted directly on three occasions by the Israeli military in the area east of Shejaia, where they were sent by the emergency control center to rescue the injured and take them to a hospital.

He also accused Israeli forces of preventing them from entering many areas which have come under attack.

Madhoun said that on one occasion gunfire prevented his ambulance crew from reaching seven injured people for several hours, before finally being able to get to them after coordinating with the Red Cross. They found that only two were still alive, while the others had bled to death. One of the survivors died in hospital a couple of days later.

Madhoun, who was speaking to Asharq Al-Awsat during a three-hour break, said: “The war does not exclude anyone. We work in very difficult conditions and we have not seen our families since the start of hostilities, and although [the Israeli military] knows who we are, they still target us deliberately.”

Madhoun said the destruction of the infrastructure made it difficult for ambulances to reach some areas, but that the ambulance crews’ knowledge of the area helped find alternative routes to locate the injured and get them to hospitals.

According to Palestinian Health Ministry figures, one paramedic, Fouad Jaber, was killed during the ongoing fighting, while 16 had been injured in Israeli air raids. The hostilities also killed pharmacist Anas Abu Al-Kas and two Ministry staff, Ata Habib and Mohammad Al-Areer.

The Ministry also accused Israeli forces of deliberately striking five hospitals on the Gaza Strip, and destroying 11 ambulances.

Shocking... It's a war zone! Oh... And another baby died.

Really? What did it die of? Pneumonia? Small Pox? A bad case of the flu?

Al Jazeera reports up to 30 killed, 100 injured, just now in UN school designated as "safe haven" and with no warning from Israelis. UN says Israel given full info on school and knew it was used as shelter and with no military activity there. AP story. Survivor: "We were sitting in the school, because we were told it is safe." Awaiting NYT defense (see below).

Richard Engel of NBC just tweeted: "Ambulances under attack again tdy. Was in one that came under fire in shejaia market." And: "UN school attacked in north gaza.. 13 at least killed. Bloody desks. Blood on ground. Terrified children."

If you try hard enough, you can find news about another rejected cease-fire. You have proven your ability to use google.

Tthat's clever. How does the second ceasefire agreement, that Hamas hasn't been consulted on, differ from the first one that Hamas wasn't consulted on?

I've already explained why Hamas rejected the ceasefire. Did you miss that? Do I need to repeat myself?

Hamas have drawn up their own ceasefire agreement. It's pretty much identical to the 2012 ceasefire agreement that Israel signed up to and then began violating almost immediately.
But I know you don't care about that, because it doesn't fit your self-serving narrative of trying to paint Israel in a postive light, even when it happens to be engaged in massacring unarmed men, women and children in order to maintain it's illegal occupation and land-grab.

So you really think Hamas has not been consulted or contacted regarding a cease fire?

As far as repeating yourself, it's actually all you do so another round of education and hate can't hurt. Go for it.

Still waiting to hear about the good that Hamas and the Brotherhood bring to Gaza and the rest of the World.

Jeremy Scahill: Media Has Failed to Cover ‘Massive Massacre’ in Gaza
    by Matt Wilstein - July 23rd, 2014

According to The Intercept’s Jeremy Scahill, “We’ve hit all time lows with media coverage in this country.” The journalist appeared on HuffPost Live Wednesday to discuss media coverage of the conflict between Israel and Hamas and issued some sharp criticism to U.S. press outlets that he says are producing nearly one-sided coverage.

“When you look at what’s happening right now in Gaza, this is a massive massacre and one epic series of war crime after war crime, child after child being killed,” Scahill told host Alyona Minkovski. “And most news organizations are forced to acknowledge that the Palestinians and its children and whole families are being killed. They’re forced to because cameras are there; they’re forced to because there are reporters on the ground reporting on that.”

But, he added, “if you step back and you look at the way that this is always framed over these weeks of Israel’s constant bombardment of Gaza, it’s as though Hamas and Israel are sort of two equal military powers fighting one another.” Considering Israel has its Iron Dome missile-defense system in place to protect its citizens, Scahill said this was a fundamentally incorrect assumption.

Scahill described Israel as “a nuclear-powered nation that has a history of systematically killing Palestinians, indiscriminately targeting civilians and civilian institutions.” But if you listen to American media, he said you would think that it is just a “battle between two military powers.” He added, “Israel is gratuitous in its disproportionate use of force against the Palestinians.”

The reporter singled out the “great” NBC News correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin as one of the few examples of someone who has shed light on the disproportionality. But when he did, he was quickly removed by the network from Gaza (he has since been reinstated there).

“Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli propagandists are largely given carte blanche to say what they want on American television with very little push back,” Scahill said.

Images from Gaza should trouble every Israeli
Israeli hearts are brimming with concern for Israeli soldiers in Gaza; but they have no compassion for victims on the other side, not even for children who are dying in gruesome numbers.
    By Gideon Levy | Jul. 24, 2014

'...The website “Walla!” published talkback comments on an article about the four children killed on the Gaza beach. Shani Moyal: “I couldn’t care less that Arab children were killed, too bad it wasn’t more. Well done to the IDF.” Stav Sabah: “Really, these are great pictures. They make me so happy, I want to look at them again and again.” Sharon Avishi: “Only four? Too bad. We hoped for more.” Daniela Turgeman: “Great. We need to kill all the children.” Chaya Hatnovich: “There isn’t a more beautiful picture than those of dead Arab children.” Orna Peretz: “Why only four?” Rachel Cohen: “I’m not for children dying in Gaza. I’m for everyone burning.” Tami Mashan: “As many children as possible should die.”

From their names and accompanying pictures, all the commenters are women. They shop in the stores near your homes, they go to the same movies and vacation spots as you. They’re Israeli. No one would think of firing them from their jobs, like they are doing now to Arabs and left-wingers. No one will condemn them, no one will attack or threaten them. They’re normal, according to the Israeli norms at least, where compassion for the other side is considered treason, and beastly criticism is considered patriotism.'

It has nothing to do with what I think. It's a fact that Hamas were not in on the ceasefire discussions. Those discussions were conducted between Israel and Egypt.

I can see that you're trying really hard to be a smart ass, but you're not doing a very good job of it.

UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness has confirmed that there are “multiple dead and injured at designated UNRWA shelter in Beit Hanoun.” He said on Twitter that the Israeli military had been given “precise co-ordinates of the UNRWA shelter in Beit Hanoun.”

    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/24/gaza-crisis-israeli-shells-kill-15-un-school-compound

Israeli tank shells hit a compound housing a UN school in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing at least 15 people and wounding dozens who were seeking shelter from fierce clashes on the streets outside.

It was the fourth time a UN facility has been hit in fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza, since the Israeli operation began on 8 July.

...Six members of the same family and an 18-month-old boy were killed when an Israeli air strike hit the Jebaliya refugee camp in the early morning hours, according to Gaza police and health officials. Twenty others were injured in the strike, they said, and rescuers were digging through the rubble of flattened homes, looking for survivors.

An air strike on a home in the southern Gaza town of Abassan killed five members of another family, said Kidra, the Gaza health official. Abassan is near Khan Younis, in an area that saw intense fighting on Wednesday.

The 16-day conflict has claimed the lives of more than 700 Palestinians, most of them civilians
