That's actually kind of true. I'd been waiting to hear this one for a long time and when they pulled it out for PJ20, I admit I had to cringe a bit when Ed mucked it up. Would love to see another shot at it.Dirty Frank Z said:

I cringed at a lot of songs at PJ20. Between the pointless ramshackle collaborations and the band brutally under rehearsed it's no wonder the show has remained unreleased.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

Still no love or PJ20, eh? I personally thought it was one of the most memorable PJ shows I've been to, and a unique experience with friends at one of the best outdoor venues in the country. I completely agree that there were cringe-worthy moments, but I don't go to see this band and expect perfection. I love the live shows, warts and all, and every flub makes me appreciate that they're real, they're unpolished, they're "rock and roll". It is a fine line though - the beginning of 'Who You Are' and when Ed came in too soon on 'In My Tree' were more than just "whoops-a-daisy" things, they were a bit rough.evenflow82 said:I cringed at a lot of songs at PJ20. I do have to completely disagree with you that the collabs were pointless and ramshackle though. It was a big party, and all of their friends joined in on the fun. The TOTD reunion was awesome, i loved Liam Finn's energy on 'Habit', Julian doing 'Red Mosquito' was great, enjoyed Homme on 'In the Moonlight' - it was all fun and loose. I'm guessing most of us have seen PJ multiple times - wouldn't you want unique memories and moments you'll likely never get to see again?0 -
no shit. pj20 was worth it for the totd mini sets alone.
and josh homme on 'in the moonlight' is about as perfect a guest pairing with a pearl jam song can be. i was so glad they put that on the xasm single.0 -

I was underwhelmed by the weekend. Imagine if PJ did a one song second encore and called it a night this fall...
just my two cents. I seem to stir the pot around here with my opinions. Hahaha.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

If pj20 was your first and only show, fair enough to dislike it. But even still.....0

the one song encore is their fault for getting on stage late. they sure weren't late the second night! the printed setlist for n1 had a lot we missed out on, unfortunately.0

some cool stuff here. was hoping to still snag a angel/ramblings 7" but it looks like those got finished out in the first round.0 -
they were fifty mins late going on at Wrigley. Not sure what their hang ups are in the Midwest, but let's hope they get it sorted out by the fall.AndySlash said:the one song encore is their fault for getting on stage late. they sure weren't late the second night! the printed setlist for n1 had a lot we missed out on, unfortunately.
