Same. Started pricing out flights and hotels to a few of the rumored spring dates. With rare exception (Lincoln, which is actually a nice little town), I have always said that I won’t travel to see a band if the show is in a city I wouldn’t otherwise want to visit.  Now, if I can drive it easily sure, I’ll visit say, Des Moines or something like that.  But driving only to end up in St. Louis for example (not a real great town, having been there), or flying only to end up in Baltimore, and the only real attraction is the show isn’t how I’d want to use precious time and money.   Some of the rumored shows would be great - Cali etc.  but to fly out there and spend money on hotels, airfare etc turns it into a big vacation, which is precisely why IF I’m going to travel for a show, shit, just make it a vacation!

Im hoping for anything within 6 hours drive from here.  Anything longer is just too long in a car.

I'm heading to Poland for work for the 2nd time in as many months. I'm hoping I have another work trip scheduled around the Krakow date so I can extend my stay. Otherwise, crossing my fingers for a MN show this year.

Could be.  I think the fall will be a bit larger, as the new album will be out for more than a week, the songs will find their place in the sets.  Maybe we get a show?  I'll bet Wisconsin does.

I just submitted for Denver. We were thinking about heading there anyway that weekend to visit family and friends, so this pretty much solidified that idea.

I’ve thought really hard about road tripping down to St Louis. Wife and I made a trip out to MT in 18’ to see them and it was an absolute blast. 5 shows total all others in MN. St Louis seems so doable, road tripped down there for Radiohead probably 12 yrs ago now. Just lotta family obligations and kids etc so really thinking I’ll hold out and see what the Fall leg brings now that there’s album announcement etc. man I’d love an MN show.

Wife wants to go to Nashville. I want to go to Denver. We'll compromise and see what happens in the fall.

Agreed. I can't make the current dates work. So, hoping for another leg to hit the midwest. Would love a show at home in Minneapolis. Going to Chicago has also become a bit of a tradition.

I concur with all of this.  St. Louis...9 hours in a car or $300 flight.  We are going to see RATM in Phoenix on March 30.  Without that, I'd probably fly to St. Louis for the show, but we'd be spending $1000+ on flights to two cities I wouldn't normally visit without these shows (yes, I am willing to break my own rule for RATM!).  Not sure I can justify it.

Fall shows...damn.   Lot going on then too.  Hopeful for a MN or WI show!

Yeah but US still is by far their biggest market. If this is a new album tour, no way they play 10-15 US shows and call it.  I’d all but guarantee in fact there are more US shows coming.  Whether we get another non Chicago Midwest show is a different question.

Went to the first night  in 06. I love Petty too but man I was bummed we got the shorter opener PJ set. Great show though.
