I was on the floor in London, and the security was so tight it was pathetic.... I'm not a fan of sitting down during a show, not that anyone did anyways, everyone was standing the entire time, but to have floor tickets with seating is just garbage in my opinion. Thats why I've always prefered outdoor concerts better....
has the entire tour had floor 'seating' as well? every venue? just curious....
Pearl Jam hasn't had a GA show since that big day in 2000 . . .
I agree that security is a bit too tight on the floor. We were on the aisle and security kept making sure everbody didn't have so much as a TOE over the precious fluorescent pink line on the floor (i.e. b/c you'd be stepping in the aisle). I think it became a bit more lax as the show went on though because I think I was pretty much in the aisle during Baba & YL

Same with us, we had aisle seats, my buddy would shove over a foot or two into the aisle for a better view and within seconds security was there to tell him to move back.0

I'd sue the TC if I were you...row X, wow they must have been ants0

If they come to Europe next year (puleez) it's gonna be really intriguing as to how they do the seating as normally over here it's GA. Would prefer GA, but might have good chance of getting close up with 10C seats if they do it the same way they're doing now.
Fingers crossed either way.1996 London Wembley Arena

I think they'll do it the same as the last few years and have seats everywhere. We should all get pretty awesome 10C tickets over here as there are nowhere near as many members. I was in floor row 16 in Calgary and on the side row 10 in Vancouver, only been a member for a year and a half so was pretty chuffed.'I wish i came from a country that never went to war, I wish i came from a country that took care of its poor,

In most cares, the security needs to keep the aisles clear in order to adhere to the fire department's rules regarding clear exit paths, etc.
I have seen shpws get shut down by the fire department for overcrowding, so having to stay in the proper rows is a small price to pay!0 -

That would be like suing someone of they wouldn't have sex with you on the first date!
Attending your first show with 10C tix is like a first date...ya gotta be happy just holding the bands' hand, or maybe a peck on the cheek at the end of the night!.....the more steamy action will come once you have more seniority!0 -
I understand that, but they need to relax a little. I wouldn't want the aisles full of people either obstructing other people's views, but when your standing no more than a foot in the aisle, I'm sure thats not a huge problem.
Yet they have like 100 of these dudes crowding the aisles walking up and down with their flashlights acting like tough enforcers, like a riot or something is gonna break out.... gimme a break.0 -
i tried that before because i took this woman on a date and spent money on some food and entertainment and when it was time for her to pony up...she dashed.JOEJOEJOE wrote:That would be like suing someone of they wouldn't have sex with you on the first date!

I hear you... everybody wants great seats. My 10c number isn't great 238xxx, been a member for a few years but I think I renewed late once... anyways... Last time in Montreal I got really good seats in the stands a bit in front on Stone's side, maybe tenth row. Way better than those I could get by sleeping in my car while waiting for ticketmaster to open. Since my number is so big I hope I don't get floor seats for tomorrow's show cause I know those will be in the back of the floor. *crossing fingers for red section seats* *will probably faint if in 10 first rows of floor*
I know I'm not going to make friends with diehards but it would be nice if next tour 10c members local/regional to the venue get a preferred treatment. It could be something like 1 out of 3 seat pairs is boosted for a "local" member. That wouldn't be unreasonnable IMO.
All that said, can't wait for tomorrow and I'm really glad I didn't have to do the ticketmaster sleepover.0 -
Lets see Z=26, Y=25 and X=24. I was at San Diego in 2003 in LL which L is 12, on top of the 26. I was like 40 rows back and behind a bunch of human trees. I was probably more legit in my bitch for up the sides. 1st 25 rows, you should be able to see due to angle and height of stage. 40 back and really couldnt see.Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river0

A lot of this bitching would stop if they just did GA. I mean, NIN does GA shows, and their fans are a lot rougher than PJ's; I don't see a lot going wrong at those shows. Some people might get hurt, but for the most part, its nothing serious. Its not like you'd get crushed in a Pearl Jam mosh pit (assuming there is even one) nowadays...Stay positive and love your life

i was very happy with my 10c seats at kitchener. i figured there was going to be a lot of 10c fans so i did not have my hopes up. turned out i was row 7 right in front of mike. excellant show except for the as@hole directly in front of me and my wife who took at least 200 pictures of the show. it got so annoying. "look, ed is turning to the left, now ed is turning to the right..there is mike strumming a D, now an A...etc etc..blue lighting, red lighting..let's take thousands of pictures."
it was really annoying..did you come to watch a show or view it through a little screen?
cheers.

If you played in a band, and people were killed in the mosh pit, would you still do mosh pit shows?
How do you know the injuries are "nothing serious".
Go get paralyzed in a mosh pit, then come back and tell us how its nothing serious.0 -
not to single the poster out, but just another case of a spoled brat pearl jam fan, i sure hope pearl jam doesent read the boards, im sure they dont, they seem to know the cool, spiritual die hard pj fans who love the music, & dont bitch about bootlegs w/o 1 song, floor seat tickets, different setlists everynight. items selling out, etc, fuckin etc"no more crowbars to my head"0

I just have to chime in here. Now I get pretty good seats due to a pretty low number, 79XXX, but I have been to shows where I was touching the rafters in Mercer Arena, Seattle, as well as 3rd row center. My most memorable show before the Gorge this year? The Mercer show. Probably because it was my first time on shrooms and Eddie was like 26ft tall and bashed a hole in the stage and climbed inside it, but I digress. Next time you don't like your floor seats, look up behind you to the 15000 people who are in the back and on the sides. I bet you'll smile and get back to enjoying the show. If not then maybe you should try a Good Charlotte concert...I will hold the candle till it burns up my arm
Oh, I'll keep takin' punches until their will grows tired
I will stare the sun down until my eyes go blind
Hey, I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind0
