Maybe I'm wrong but I seem to remember thinking for the fall tour lottery that notifications were sent out based on when you entered the lottery. If you entered right away you get notified yay or nay first. I entered on Monday night and am still waiting.5/3/92 Omaha, NE

Ummm... I don't know about countless. Actually, I'd say its zero. I've been in the fan club exactly 20 years, never front row. Closest I've ever been was 5th row. NOt bad, but I probably averaged sitting 10-15 rows back from '98 - '06. Now, its hard to get any at all.
Not complaining, but don't overgeneralize the benefits of those of us who have been around a long time. And I don't particularly enjoy sharing with concert-day ticket scalpers, which is what most of the new members actually are.
That's fair. I should have left it at the point that there would be no room for any new fan to ever buy a membership and hope to ever get a fan club ticket out of it. They might as well just stop offering that perk as part of the memberships.
The point about scalpers - absolutely true. There is serious room for improvement in that area. Black Keys tour will require you to swipe your credit card at the door to get in - that's in October. Curious to see if it works. But that's a separate issue.0 -
Man, they're still on day 1 entries. This will take a very long time for us last - minuters.0

I understand how much it sucks. I did win tickets this time, and Dallas tickets last year. I broke my ankle in 4 places on Monday before the show & wound up in surgery the day of. You should have seen me trying to convince this doctor that I could travel 6 hours in a splint & that he could do surgery the next week.BK5333 said:What bothers me even more about losing two lottery shows this time is that I had tickets to both Philly shows last fall -- GA lottery and a $225 single off Stub Hub. I ended up in the hospital and couldn't travel. Missed both shows. And now this....

If it helps ease the anxiety of anyone waiting, I just found out at 4:20 that I won Moline GA (first choice) and STL seats (third choice). I entered the lotto very early.0

What was your 2nd choice? Moline seats? I wonder if they move up your 3rd choice to 2nd if your 2nd becomes N/A?jsvajgl said:If it helps ease the anxiety of anyone waiting, I just found out at 4:20 that I won Moline GA (first choice) and STL seats (third choice). I entered the lotto very early.

I just won the pre-sale draw!bbison said:
It would seem to be. None of those markets seem likely to get a second show, like Worcester did. Let's just throw in Bridge School, since it's the weekend following Denver. That would make 32 shows for calendar 2014--the most since 2006.nicknyr15 said:I wish we could get some sort of confirmation that this is it for 2014.
~30 shows a year is the new normal, has been for a while. The days of a mega-tour and two years off are gone; at least this way you can get your fix every year, although it may involve time off work or air travel or both. If this limited schedule keeps the band fresh and interested and sane and in fine health (and voice!) then so be it.
(unless...the Cubs last home game is 9/24, they aren't close to making the playoffs, the Cubs are allowed 4 concerts a year (but only have 3 scheduled), if the band wants another crack at Wrigley, then Saturday 9/27 would work.)
BTW--I like the original schedule they posted--10 shows tonite!!0 -
