I don't know if i could read a book after i've seen the movie(like i saw The Da Vinci Code under protest and now i never want to read the book, not that i really wanted too anyway). but i'm sure High Fidelity is good, i'll keep my eye out for it, but ATM i'm reading all the Kathy Reichs books which are keeping me busy. I like the books, and the new Show "Bones" on 7 is not bad, but not as good as the books.

    Hi All
What is your favourite last track, and a few words why...

(Do I really need to list them? Nah, im sure we know)

For me, I think it has to be All Those Yesterdays, just has that cruisy feel to finish up a track, the last of the Jim Beam Premiums have been consumed, there's hapf a slice of meatlovers in the box, and you've just enjoyed the 45-odd minute masterpiece that is Yield. ATY for me...

Feel free to contribute, or, as also mentioned last week, ignore this shit and post something else hehe

lovely, mine's between ATY's and indifference... and release...

i'm not good at this game :o

    indifference it is

I guess this seems like the right place to post this.

I'm in a tough situation. I'm trying to decide if I should get tickets for PJ's 3rd Sydney show, to go along with my tickets for night 1. This will be the first time I've seen them live, and have been waiting for a few years to do so. Problem is, I will be going by myself to night 3 as I have a lack of Pearl Jam friends.

I can get a seat five rows back in the side reserved seating, on Stones side, which is decent I guess, but would love to be on the floor for atleast one of my shows, which sadly isn't going to happen (unless one of you has a spare floor ticket for me......please......?).

So yeh anyway just trying to work out what to do. Do I go by myself and sit in side reserved seating. Will this be enjoyable, and will it be worth it? Any advice??

this whole question is very confusing to me? you're asking whether you should goto a PJ concert or not????

    my mind has been blown.

After you see the first show, youll probably kick yourself for turning down the 3rd one. PJ proabably wont be back for awhile, youll get to experience an extra 15 or so songs that wernt played at the first one, theres no reason not to go unless you really cant afford it.. But come on, its PJ. If youre by yourself just drink many beers and youll be happy :D

If you're there by yourself, make sure you meet some of these great people beforehand and have a ball. Once you're in there gazing into the eyes of PJ and listening to sweet perfection, who gives a fuck who's standing next to you!

Unless you're next to Gustopholies like I will be! :D Then you can give a fuck! Because Gus it cool!!!!! :D

if there playing the night after why not have tickets for that gig... Its pointless not going. Just hang around for all the shows in that city.

  • hi everyone how much spending money do you reckon ill need (not including accomodation) for the time between bris and adel.

I have 850 and i thought that might be enough but now im not so sure. ( i want to buy a fair wack of posters and merch as well)

hope everyone is feeling better than me, im feeling very sorry for myself, i find myself relating to pearl jam songs i dont really want to (black, I got Shit, I'm Still Here, Smile) feeling very lonely, and everything seems to remind me of sam, i cant imagine how this can get better. Im hoping someone can convince me that i can.

To quote Ed from Soldier's Field '95 "Life has a way of working itself out ya know...if ya hang in the trenches long enough it pays off"

I guess that might kinda be relevant, but chin up tommy and you'll be surprised at what a person can get through ;)

Get the tickets mate!! I'm in a pretty similar situation myself...I have a (ordinary) ticket to sydney 1 with some casual fans who only wanna hear last kiss and betterman etc..and until yesterday I was probably going to be going by myself to the 3rd show too (I was too much of a poor bastard to get good tix for the 2nd show at the time :p) yet I finalllly got another chicka to tag along for the 3rd show last night! :D

Does anyone know if there any decent tickets left for the 3rd show? Or should I just bide my time and hope something pops up over at Lifewasted?? Unless someone has a spare couple of tickets...?

Think of the days till the first concert Tom, immerse your self in your studies, read a good book, listen to some positive music, watch a funny movie and remember if it wasn't meant to be then move on one day at a time, cause when you least expect it things will improve. As for the funds the more the better, see if you can mortgage your Benaroya vinyl , LOL.

    Last song hey?

For me would be Release, followed closely by indifference, two great songs, very thoughtful and reflective, sure I can relate some point in my life to both.
