    i use the magic bullet for all of mine. often times i feel i put too much stuff in it and the smoothie becomes too thick. the bullet isn't that big. are you guys using something like this or a big blender?

    yeah i use a regular sized blender. it is old & works like a champ. i'll try & remember to add some cottage cheese sometime.

    just made a nice one:
    handfulla carrots
    handfulla spinach
    one banana
    one strawberry
    handfulla cranberries
    a nice dash of cranberry/apple juice

    frig

    I picked up a hamilton beach brand blender on Amazon, it is a to-go cup blender. absolutely perfect.

    Smoothies that you buy here are quite different from in America (in my experience). Last year when I had a holiday in America, I forgot and ordered a take-away smoothie and took one sip and binned it! Smoothies normally have ice-cream or at the very least; vanilla yoghurt.

    I use a stick blender and normally have a strawberry or banana smoothie, or a combination of both fruits. Mangoes are my favourite food, so when they are in season I absolutely love having mango smoothies.

    So I use:

    About half a dozen fresh strawberries OR 1 banana & about 4-5 strawberries OR 1 mango
    A few scoops of ice-cream
    Full cream milk

    Years ago I used to buy really beautiful custard apple smoothies...never tried making one at home, but I loved them!

    wife and i purchased the Bullet a week ago. it has been a fun week for smoothies! have just been using some frozen strawberries and greek yogurt for most of them. figuring out consistency has been tough.....i would like to get a little more creative. some good ideas here i will try in the coming days

    ...are the best. I put in banana, frozen raspberries and cocoa powder to mix with the yoghurt and milk. Add some sugar. Done. It's delicious!

    1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
    1/2 cup water
    1 scoop whey protein
    1 scoop photoberry (micronutrients)
    1 scoop vegegreens (micronutrients)
    1 tbsp. omega 3 supplement

    Been doing these every morning except weekends (cheat days) for 4-5 years now. Really gets the metabolism humming for the day.
