Framing records ok or bad idea?

in The Porch
I've seen arguments for both sides of this. I want to frame some of my record collection and put it on the wall since I have duplicates of some of them. Most of what I want to frame still sealed. Is this a bad idea?

I can't say I think that sealed albums in a frame would look any good though. Why not just keep them where you can pick them up and look at both sides, etc? I just don't see the point in a framed sealed album. That awesome frame job posted earlier with the Pitt poster is fantastic - that's the kind of thing that makes a framed record look good. If I were you, I'd sell or trade the sealed albums for awesome poster art to frame. That would look way cooler IMO. But hey, it's your stuff! Do whatever you want with it of course!
As for the op, go for it! Although I agree a sealed vinyl might not look as sharp in a frame.
