Yeah, it something that I've always been curious about. When Metallica played the Filmore people were paying over $1500 per ticket either in cash or trade. I am with you padlowsky, I'd probably pay a pretty penny for that experience.

I wouldn't be surprised, the Metallica filmore show's in 2011 someone offered up a limited edition ESP Hammett signature guitar that was worth over 2k. I feel that the Metallica and Pearl Jam fans are as equally passionate for their bands.

A few hundred. In reality I went to the Commodore show in Vancouver (2000). You could only get in by winning tickets from the radio. I spent a lot of man hours trying to win tickets, but ultimately the tickets themselves were free (other than having to take the ferry over in advance of the show to collect the passes).

I would definitely pay whatever if I had it on hand in any way. But I know that's not gonna happen! You KNOW.... I'll never have that kind of money!! And that's ok. I'll live it vicariously through all of you!

No more than regular tickets. They have a different kind of energy that really serves a bigger crowd, these days.

$350 would probably be my limit.... and that amount would go way up if I had more money obviously.

I would be willing to pay whatever the asking price was, my bank account however would put me at best in the $500 range and realistically that's the most I would pay unless I could sit in a stool next to Stone.

    Wind this thing up.

    $33.95.

That, adjusting for inflation, is what I paid to see Jimi Hendrix in 1968. And color printed hand bills were free.

Usually at those shows you can show up early and get in for free if you are patient. My friends and I got into the radio winners only Henry Fonda show in LA 2006 for free...after about 3 songs into the PJ set they started letting us in.

I would expect that $500 would be the average ticket price for a club show in the secondary market. That is probably as high as I would want to go.

If it was not the secondary market though?

I would think the maximum price someone would pay to see a show woudl be the same as whether they bought the ticket from Ticketmaster or scalpers. $500 would be the most I would pay to get into a club show.

I am not sure I understand this sentiment. Cater to large crowds? What their act today does is make a large venue show seem intimate. That's a special talent. It's not one that excludes them from making a small venue show fucking awesome though.
