    I don't think the band spent any cash at all during the Super Bowl. That is if you leave out the costs for recording Invisible.
    That commercial was probably all paid for by Bank Of America, with U2 and (RED) lifting on the back of that promotion.

    Time for this band to reclaim its throne as one of the greatest rock bands..!

    I agree..."boots" was garbage, but there's a few great moments on that last album...

    I think "unknown caller", "moment of surrender" and "magnificent" are totally killer, top notch U2 moments...but stuff like "standup comedy" really stinks up the joint and i always skip it.

    Sad to say I don't "get" Invisible, not at all :(( Ordinary Love is excellent, though.

    Keep in mind that Springsteen is a solo artist. He can act more quickly and use any session musicians he wants. He has totally autonomy. With U2 you have four band members who have to agree on things and have their schedules align.

    Picked this up at Best Buy for $70. Would never spend $180 on this, but $70 - yeah, I can stomach $70. Achtung Baby is one of my all time favorite albums and helped turn me on to alternative music as an impressionable 11 year old.
