St. Louis 98. It never seems to go on sale anywhere.....I gave up on it. I scanned the postcard and printed an exact copy on my studio printer. I pretend its the real thing!0

That poster just sold on ebay this week for $1,500 and it was autographed by Ed to the Frogs. The guy selling it is the son of one of the guys in the band. I actually think it was a bargain at that price considering it is personalized from Ed on top of being such a hard to find poster.Hoccapuk said:Just thought i'd have a little fun and see what everyone feels is the rarest PJ poster out there. I'm going to say the 1994 chicago stadium print since it never actually appears.

Ugly by today's standards, sure, but it stands as an amazing poster IMO. There's a lot of sentiment in that piece of paper. The member formerly known as Scratched Vinyl0

I saw that on eBay too and was a bit skeptical about the writing & signature on the back, purportedly by Eddie Vedder.
It's signed on the foam core or whatever the poster was backed with when it was framed so I don't see how it could've happened the night of the show (which is when I'd figure something like this would occur). And the name 'The Frogs' on the front, in what appears to be similar handwriting, seems to be written directly on the poster before it was framed.
Hmmm...it's fun to play detective, eh?0 -
how did I miss that ? WTF. this was a poster only given to the band and certain behind the scene people. It was not official, and it is as rare as I can think. Blakcie comes to mid as well....anything early.
way too rich for my blood...fuck I would give up a PJ20 billboard for that in a heartbeat folks, Wrigley billboard....Post edited by hrd2imgn on0 -
Obviously the Santa Barbara 2003 EMEK is rare, as it was never approved. I believe there was also a Detroit EV poster that was made but rejected, so never sold.PJ - Sydney 1998; Sydney 2003; Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle 2006; Melbourne, Sydney 2009; Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney 2014.

Mark 5's 10C convention poster for PJ20. Some will argue it's not a Pearl Jam poster. Has the venue. Says PJ. It's a Pearl Jam concert poster. There's only 20 and it looks great!Post edited by KB39167 on0

I've got that one too. I tried to buy it at the show, but alas, it was sold out. Or I was too drunk to wander around to another stand.coco butter said:The Indianapolis 2010 poster. It's so rare I have one available for sale!!!! Get it while you can!

I love rare posters. I'm lucky enough to have quite a few of the ones people are talking about: S/N 1998 St. Louis, S/N 2000 Blackie, S/N PJ20 Mark5, S/N PJ20 Billboard, S/N Ames Wrigley Variant....I also have a 1998 Ames Chicago/Alpine Valley & a 1997 Ames Oakland. I only collect posters from shows I attend. I had some good luck picking up posters back in the day. Apparently I was ahead of the game....Soldier Field - Jul 11, 1995, Savage Hall - Sep 22, 1996,

my top three rare posters I own would be 1998 St. Louis, 1998 Indianapolis, and S/N Cracker Jack posters. I have a few hung up as well as some PJ20 Ames and my personal favorite would be the Gorge 2005. Love that poster and a great show.
But my rarest poster would be the Miss Awareness Beauty Pageant of 1988 in Queens with local guest Randy Watson and his band Sexual Chocolate!Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? I have three posters total none of which were purchased at a merch booth so I am curious as to how rare they may be.. I have a binaural tour poster that was being sold in the parking lot after the show and two from the Cincinnati show in 06 they I got in the hallway on my way to a piss break. One is the avacado cover and the other looks like the website background at the time and lists all the cities from the tour.Columbus-2000

and variants might be considered gimmicks to some, but for those of us in search of that rare print sure flock to them. it sucks they are always way better than the originals, usualyy worth the price if you have the money IMO.ShawnZ0 -
