    Lol, i'm the same way Chadwick. I keep my window and porch door open in the winter, and sleep best with noise. A fan plus a sound machine works well!

    I like (actually, have now come to need) the white-noise aspect of it, plus the air movement.

    Another quirk related to sleeping - the open part of my pillowcase must be facing the edge of the bed. I wish I knew what it means!

    truck driving gave me this noise-sleeping bit. a big ass diesel motor under the hood idling for a driver's comfort (heat or ac) & a a reefer unit (a diesel motor mounted at the nose of the trailer used in keeping the trailer frozen or cooled as it is a rolling refrigerator) that kicks on/off as the thermostat regulates

    when you are sleeping in your bunk (& if you have a co-driver) your co-driver is going down the highway, the exhaust pipe stacks are right there on the otherside of the bunkbed. lots of folks use earplugs

    yeah i can't sleep in silence, it drives me nuts

    I must touch the outside of an airplane as I am stepping on board. I feel this helps the plane to not crash.

    Wow, I guess I'm not so crazy after all!! When I shower, shampoo first, always. Then my face. After that, it doesn't matter. I have washed my face first before I shampooed, but I had to start my shower over (which means I wash my hair then my face again.)

    As far as sleeping, I too need noise and a fan. And you will never see me sleep with socks on. I can't do it. I've dozed off watching football games and I wake up in a panic because my socks are on. Someone please tell me why....

    OMG!!! I do this too. So good to know I'm not the only one.
    Just gives me a feeling of security. I usually give it two knocks before I step in the plane.

    putting shoes and socks on: left sock, right sock, left shoe, right shoe, left shoe tied, right shoe tied - never deviate from this.

    same with putting contacts in: left contact 1st then right contact

    always hold phone in left hand by left ear - never ever use right hand or ear (and I am right handed)

    never wear something bought until it is washed

    I bowl in a league in a run down alley where the hand blowers don't work. I still run my hand over the broke down hand blower before every roll even though it doesn't work.

    -I find sneezing to be utterly disgusting. (And fuck you if you don't cover that shit up! Fuck you even further if you cover up with your hands. And a penultimate fuck you if you cover with your hands and don't wash them immediately.)
    -I always put my left shoe on first.
    -I have to adjust my shirt sleeves inside my jacket before I zip it up.
    -I also need white noise while I sleep.
    -My car key is on a keyring by itself. House keys on another ring.
    -I have to leave the water running while I brush my teeth.
    -I always use 24-hour (aka military) time.
