Completely disagree with people saying that this won't happen because the Euro tour ends two weeks before. This is almost an identical schedule to when they played Lolla in 2007. Also, a lot of the headliners play club or theatre shows in Chicago Lolla weekend (Foo Fighters and QOTSA recently). Some of them are even dubbed "Lolla aftershows."

Lots of people on the Lolla board are predicting PJ this year. Some have gone as far as saying they're confirmed. So far the only tour rumours for North America I've seen are in May so I'm going to believe the rumour of three week tour in May and a one-off show at Lolla to end the tour (maybe they'll play the Chicago Theatre the Thursday like they were supposed to in 2007).

mmm.... drooling just thinking about that QOTSA show... it was soooooo fucking awesome seeing them at the metro...

Now you've got me questioning when I should book my flight up to Chicago for lolla... if there's even a possibility of a 10C show, I must be there....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Any hint to maybe a US fall tour this year? By the way Eddie said PJ playing Wrigley at least next 3 years. He may have been in the moment , but I hope so. Maybe a Midwest and Southeast tour in fall. That would be awesome!!

Chicago constitutes an entire section of the country for this band. :-( We're all a bunch of rural farmers with one city.

Not true. They've been good to the midwest. See tours 00, 03, 04, 10'

Lollapalooza in Chicago is starting to make sense after today's newsletter.

Latest newsletter: "Pearl Jam has just returned from Australia - next stop Europe".

Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

What does that have to do with Lolla? We already knew they were going to Europe next.

Many people (Myself included) thought a spring (May, June) United States tour would be their next stop before Europe. Looks like a possible fall tour and there have been rumors of the band playing Lolla right after Europe.

in 2012 the chili peppers played at the allstate arena in chicago on may 28th and still headlined lolla so there is a possibility that they can still play other shows in the region even if they end up headlining lolla this year.

I'd fly up for a Lolla show

Kinda liked seeing PJ in a festival atmosphere where not everyone was there to see them (when I went to Voodoo on 11/1/13)

If the rumors are true then this will be the last show in North America this year. I hope not.

Maybe another warm up show like the VIC in 2007?

I would love a full show (I last saw them at Voodoo, with Wrigley before that), but living in the Chicago area, if they are only going to play one show, this would make me very happy. Oh and a Vic warm up show for the fan club only please!!!!

This will be the first show of the North American Fall tour. They will be in Europe until the second week of July, Lolla is the first weekend of August.

Now, if this was one stop out of another 10 or 12 shows throughout the Midwest and South - I would be stoked. But if this is the only show considered to be their Midwest "tour" - I would be severely disappointed.
