Open with Evolution! Awesome! What a show. Privileged to have made it to the front again. Big Day Out was great, not a fan of PJ at festivals but everything worked out well and they played a full show like they would normally do if it was just them.
Can't believe they played 'Sad' !! Can't wait for Eddie in Brisbane!0 -
I was also on Mike's side about two deep, he was awesome, took about half the show before i could hear Stone though. There was a lot of pushing from people for the first 4 songs or so, settled down after that to a comfortable show. I thought the band hit there straps toward the second half of the show. Occy looked emotional when they played Betterman (dedicated to Kelly, Fanning, MR and Occy). BDO was pretty well organized , lots of water and people with sunscreen, even the food was good. Mother was a highlight (when mike comes in wow!! that tone) and RVM, just missed a few picks that came flying near me and my girl, all well hopefully get some in Sydney, Thanks PJ.:)0

So glad it was an aggressive start so it set a good tone for the night & great to see Mother live & most people seemed to have no idea what it was. Sad was amazing to hear live & the version of Not for You was the best i had seen live with such a great connection after Lukin. Only thing was Mike was very hard to hear from my side on occasions but Stone was crystal clear. That is why we keep coming back cause you always get a different set at every show. It will only get better for the rest of the BDO. My 10th show that is perfect for me.Eastern Creek 95,Syd 1 98,Bris 2 98, Syd 1&2 03, Reading Fest 06, Bris 1 06, London 09, Hyde Park 10, Gold Coast BDO 14 Budapest 22 Krakow 22 Amsterdam 22 St Paul 1&2 23 Chicago 1&2 23 Chicago 1&2 24 New York 1 24 Philly 1&2 24 Boston 1&2 24 Gold Coast 24 Melbourne 1 24 Sydney 1&2 240

(Ed says” there is someone here that we have seen at a bunch of shows. I should know his name.” He asks the person if they have a request. Once Ed gets the request he tells the audience, “Okay, if you don’t know it it is his fault.”

I grabbed a poster early as I didn't want to miss out( they supplied poster tube with poster) and carried it all day- it wasn't too much of a pain to be honest and I was about 5th row on mikes side for the whole show. There was posters left at the end of the night though, but I didn't want to risk missing out- always get the poster of show attended.jimmytrubl said:Hey Guys - Was there a PJ 2014 tour poster for sale at the show? Loved this set. I wasn't feeling very well so I hung around the back for the first set. I encountered my first bogans too. Definitely caught off guard when pj started playing, I'd been watching arcade fire on the giant tv& didn't even realize pj took the stage. One thing I gotta give BDO credit for is the water people. I've never seen that done before, really civil. I actually was really dehydrated by the end of the main set so went around the crowd to the side and was able to get water, AND wound up with a great view for the rest of the show. A lot of people left the crowd I guess it got a little bit rough in the center.
I do have to point out tho, at some point it seemed like the crowd went limp? Ed was trying to get everyone to sing along but it wasn't that loud - like we were louder singing along in the bar when Joe was playing at the Auckland pre party. But then when everyone sang along for another song, either better man or daughter I can't remember which, I swear I think I heard ed say something to the effect of "yea they know this one" or something. It was weird. Am I the only one who noticed this?NYC 06/24/08-Auckland 11/27/09-Chch 11/29/09-Newark 05/18/10-Atlanta 09/22/12-Chicago 07/19/13-Brooklyn 10/18/13 & 10/19/13-Hartford 10/25/13-Baltimore 10/27/13-Auckland 1/17/14-GC 1/19/14-Melbourne 1/24/14-Sydney 1/26/14-Amsterdam 6/16/14 & 6/17/14-Milan 6/20/14-Berlin 6/26/14-Leeds 7/8/14-Milton Keynes 7/11/14-St. Louis 10/3/14-NYC 9/26/15

Provided nothing happens, I was just able to order both the regular and gold version of this poster from Ames... can't believe it, but it *seems* like they're still available...jimmytrubl said:Hey Guys - Was there a PJ 2014 tour poster for sale at the show? I'm the customs officer Eddie dedicates a song to
Due to having a melt down after the shout out there was some confusion
As to whether it was 'Lightening Bolt' or 'Unthought known' that was played?!The Day Eddie Vedder dedicated a song to me on stage...I'll be forever faithfull

It was unthought known. I met your co-worker that afternoon at customs coming in from NZ who told me PJ had been through the day before, & that she wasn't there but another girl was who would be at the show. So when they dedicated that song to you I smiled. Congrats!Givn2Fly16 said:I'm the customs officer Eddie dedicates a song to
