Loved this set. I wasn't feeling very well so I hung around the back for the first set. I encountered my first bogans too. Definitely caught off guard when pj started playing, I'd been watching arcade fire on the giant tv& didn't even realize pj took the stage. One thing I gotta give BDO credit for is the water people. I've never seen that done before, really civil. I actually was really dehydrated by the end of the main set so went around the crowd to the side and was able to get water, AND wound up with a great view for the rest of the show. A lot of people left the crowd I guess it got a little bit rough in the center.

I do have to point out tho, at some point it seemed like the crowd went limp? Ed was trying to get everyone to sing along but it wasn't that loud - like we were louder singing along in the bar when Joe was playing at the Auckland pre party. But then when everyone sang along for another song, either better man or daughter I can't remember which, I swear I think I heard ed say something to the effect of "yea they know this one" or something. It was weird. Am I the only one who noticed this?

I'm the customs officer Eddie dedicates a song to :) Due to having a melt down after the shout out there was some confusion
As to whether it was 'Lightening Bolt' or 'Unthought known' that was played?!

It was unthought known. I met your co-worker that afternoon at customs coming in from NZ who told me PJ had been through the day before, & that she wasn't there but another girl was who would be at the show. So when they dedicated that song to you I smiled. Congrats!

That's awesome Lisa- great that you gave them a good experience entering the country too. It would be a life long memory to be mentioned by the greatest band in the world live on stage- Well done

Finally back on the forum after nearly 3 weeks! Was dreading having to see my band at a festival but it turned out to be a a great experience. Managing to get at the front of the barrier was a highlight too with Mike jumping down and running right past us. Good setlist ... wish I could go to more shows! B-)

Got to Main stage about 2 songs into Beady Eye's set (520ish) and was about 5-6 deep with no effort at all. Would have loved to be on rail but there was no way I was staying there all day in the heat and also wanted to see some other band. All The Colours were very good as one of the first bands up on side stages.

    23. Sad

    Good request Gus!
Awesome!!i know Gus is always on the rail!!
I saw Gus at the end of the night and said hi. He is easy to notice. :)

Would love to see any photos or video footage from the Gold Coast show, especially the part where Mike jumps down and runs along the front barrier, then stops to play for a while. Has anyone got any?

As much as I was dreading going to BDO, it turned out to be yet another brilliant PJ concert. I would say it was a hell of a lot
better than the QSAC concert they last played and on par, if not better than the previous BEC concerts, possibly except for the '03 BEC concert.

Now to wait (hopefully) for the bootleg so I can once again lose myself by closing my eyes and screaming out the lyrics to PJ songs.

Anyone know if the "I Pledge myself" bit before the Save It for Later tag is an improv or from a song?
