It'll happen, right? Why wouldn't they? I have saved for years! They have to, right? I mean come on, I.....

    Wind this thing up.

I doubt it. If the band had wanted everyone to have a copy they wouldn't of limited it to 2000 in the first place. It sold you in just under 2 days and was pretty collectable after a year. It's not ilke the studio albums which are rare but not limited edition.

If they can't get around to reissue hard to find and not l.e. studio albums do you really think they'll reissue something that was intended to be limited from the get go?

Back then I think there was not a demand for "everyone to have a copy". I feel maybe the band limited it to 2000 because I'm sure back then pressing that many records was a minimum order from a pressing company. Maybe they felt that 2000 copies was a good test run. The band will eventually re-issue more bennys' once the nonsense of flipping the benny for an insane amount of money stops - and RA

Or buy 2, so you can let one sit and play the other.

This is a sweet dream. :x

It would never be packaged the same as the original. (which would make the original hold it's value)

I'm not going to hold my breath..........

Why so more people can buy it and leave it sealed... never to be listened to?

There are so many other better shows to release on vinyl.

Let it go, you will never own a Benny.

The demand was pretty strong. The email/news release for the album was pretty clear it was a one time limited edition release of a deluxe vinyl set. It was pretty clear and I've never seen any hint the band/10c feels otherwise. I honestly think it'll be one of those things that remains a legend in the PJ collecting circles.

I do agree that vinyl wasn't as popular in 2004, but Benaroya sold in in less than 2 days, and people were already asking for more copies on day 3. Within a year it was already selling for 400 on ebay. 2000 wasn't near enough in 2004 either. It was limited on purpose.

People knew it would go quick in '04 too. It killed the website on the first day of sale. It's not like people weren't into vinyl back then. The band knew what they were doing.

    very doubtful.

but who knows, im sure either way the first pressing would remain fairly valuable

Outside of the rarity of the album I've never understood the fascination with it. It's a decent show but not really any better than others. And if you don't listen to it then it's nothing but an investment like stocks/bonds.

Not sure about a reissue "officially" from the band.

I am though shocked there hasn't been any "unofficial" releases of this. There are many bootlegs vinyl copies out there pressed that have been making their way's on eBay, in various colored copies. Surprised those vinyl bootleggers haven't attempted to make a release of Benaroya Hall.

Instead of focusing on re-issues, how about we get a PJ20 Alpine or Wrigley 1st issue? Yeah....let's start there.

I wish they'd release Vault #2 (Vic Theatre 2007) on vinyl. Sigh.

Funny thing is if they ever do reissue folks won't be so hot for it. Thus, why it will never be reissued.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Would love a reissue, I think it would be the only way I could own this. The money an original goes for, no way could I justify spending that amount on vinyl.

Do I really need to make a list? Really?

I take it you think Benaroya Hall is the best PJ show of all time?

    Not even close.
What would you prefer to see on vinyl. Remember, BH was mostly acoustic show, what better show to have on vinyl?

I agree. Benny Hall may not be the best PJ show ever (although some might think so - that is completely subjective), but it's pretty fucking great!! Totally worthy of being on vinyl (and of being reissued, even though it won't be)! There are several shows I'd love to see pressed. That doesn't exclude me from loving Benny Hall and wanting it on vinyl. And it's not like it's hard for 10C to reissue something. All they have to do is work out some simple packaging and place an order with a manufacturer and then set up the online sale. They do it all the time with all their merch. No reason a reissue would prevent them from doing anything else.... They just won't reissue it because it was limited edition from a decade ago and why would they?? Maybe 20 years from now, who knows, but not any time soon (well, never say never I guess, but I'll be very happily shocked if they do it).

I don't own it and honestly don't care if I ever do own it. I'm clearly not the disgruntled one here. Not about owning it anyway. I guess I'm disgruntled that people can't get over the fact they won't repress it, it's not worth repressing and they will never own it.

Like I said, let it go.

I would take 7/11/2003 over Benny any day.

How come you're feeling disgruntled because other people wish there were a reissue? Why don't you just not read the thread and feel better?
