    Re-sign mason now. Dude won them another game tonight.

    Braden Schenn needs to give them more. I know he's scored a few goals lately, but he needs to have more of an overall presence to justify the Richards trade (which I still don't like).

    Great road trip...team is trending in right direction. Berube has done a much better job than I expected.

    Mason was a steal. Best deal by far that Holmgren has made.

    really nice West Coast swing for this team.

    Ridiculously, Giroux left off Team Canada, but wont be surprised to see him as an injury replacement.

    And Timonen named to Team Finland..he's going to be even more gassed at the end of the season now. He hasnt been able to keep up without the Olympics, it will be even worse now.

    Jeff Carter makes the Canadian Olympic team. Where are all the guys that ripped me for defending Jeff Carter after the trade and when he won the Cup in LA? Interesting that those guys are quiet now. Fixer???

    All he does is score goals. I'm still waiting for him to show up for the Flyers in the playoffs. I don't think I'm qualified to say who should make the team and who shouldn't but G is a better player.

    I'd rather G rest for those 2 weeks.

    Agree, the selections of either Carter or Nash before Giroux are laughable.

    well goals are pretty important. and he does kill penalties for the Kings.

    Agree though that Giroux is a better all around player. My guess is maybe they didn't think Giroux could play wing? Canada is very top heavy at center already. either way was pretty shocked to hear he didn't make the team,

    and Patrick Sharp made it also. another bad trade by Holmgren. Didn't we get a goon (carcillo maybe?) for Sharp? don't think anyone thought he'd turn into such a good player though.

    Sharp was made because of fatso Hitchcock. He wanted a player with more experience...and the Flyers, as usual had too many Centers.... the result?
    Patrick Sharp to Chicago for Matt Ellison. You can prob look him up on Google.

    I was trying to put a smiley in after the goal comment but it kept going to the bottom of my post. I'm not saying Carter is a bad player. He just seemed like he got banged up in the playoffs when we needed him.
