6K 10c members now that would make a 6 hour queue to get tickets and wristbands
I feel a long wait or a disaster comming onMarch 95 - Melbourne Flinders Park(Dave Grohl on drums for Encore, live on Tripple J night after the riot)
March 95 - Melbourne - OK I was on my flats balcony and couldn't see the stage but I sure could hear them,
August 06 - Leeds
June 07 - London0 -

hmmm, it depends how organised the tenclub and the venue are on the day. There may be more than one window to collect wristbands/tickets. I guess we'll find out on the day!
Capacity for a concert at Wembley Arena is 12,000 so i don't know what the ratio is for standing/seating."This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."0 -

I doubt the mayhem mentioned earlier on will be an issue at all
I was there a few weeks back and the venue's default barrier is standard (without partition/central reservation) and yes, there are SEVERAL ENTRANCES. About 5 to be precise :eek:0 -
Scratchin a Letter wrote:There will be about 2500 10c members on the floor. That's 1750 pairs, so really just twice the work of a normal gig.

So there won't be a centre raile splitting the crowd?"This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."0 -

No, that's 1250 pairs.
Four times the work of a normal gig. There are normally 300 10c pairs per show, which makes 600 people.~AKA Dave-of-the-dead~
I don't wanna think, I wanna feel
Dublin 23/08/06 Lisbon I 04/09/06 Lisbon II 05/09/06 Paris 11/09/06 Verona 16/09/06
London 18/06/07 Dusseldorf 21/06/07 Copenhagen 26/06/07 Nijmegen 28/06/070 -

Dave is straight in there when he sees a mathematical error, lol. You're almost like a superhero, keeping the world on the straight path.
I'd be surprised if the band didn't request the centre rail seeing as they have done for almost every other GA show in the last couple of years."This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."0 -

that's what I heard and it certainly fit with the queues I remember, no way there was 600.
so it's 8 time more, which is why they start 6 hours before opening rather than 2 .
well, that's assuming they don't pull a Verona and ACTUALLY start at 12
if by centre rail you mean the T barrier, yeah, I'd bet that unfortunately it'll be there at Wembley.
I don't like it because I think it actually increases the pressure as people are bottlenecked into a corner. Once you're there the only way out is over the top rather than able to pull back like with a straight barrier.
The second barrier, like in Dublin, I think Arnhem, Prague and Berlin is much better (as long as people behind the 2nd one know it's there). I believe we'll have that in Katowice and Nijmegen; considering the size of the gigs, they'll have to (ignore the "no 10c only area" mentioned in the emails. That was there last year too; it only means that if there's a front area, it's not JUST 10c, but will include the first GA to get in too..far more of them than 10cs actually)0 -
No dilema for me. I won't be lining up early as I will be stood at the back since my wife will be 6 months pregnant!
Hey, at least I can go for a couple of beers before the show instead of queing for hours

That all makes sense, i'm glad there'll be a second barrier in Nijmegen otherwise the surge forward will be huge. Personally, i like the T barrier though. Just like having something to hold onto in the crowd."This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."0 -

True! I guess even if you are lining up from 'God know's what time', there won't be a lack of beer!London #1 2000, Reading 2006, London 2007, London 2009, London 2010, Manchester #1 2012, Manchester #2 2012, Manchester 2012 (EV), Milton Keynes 2014, London #2 2017 (EV), London #1 2018, London #2 2018, London #1 2022, London #2 2022, Manchester 2024.0 -
just pick up the tickets whenever, go to the pub, then turn up whenever and enjoy the show

^That's about HALF the standing area. Think about it0 -
I've just realised that my ticket is under my married name, but my photo ID is still in my maiden name - will this cause a problem do you think?
Also, does anyone know what time the 10c distribution box will stay open til as I'm not currently planning on getting into London til around 4pm.0
