Absolutely amazing show! I was behind the stage to the side behind Boom and was a little worried going in that the view would be obstructed but it was great! My favourite seat of all 4 shows I attended this tour! I was close to the stage, and could see the whole crowd. I would definitely recommend it!

Highlights for me were Long Road, Mother and Leash!!!

lpeddle, it was great to meet you in Philly! That was quite a show, wasn't it? Glad you liked your seat-sounds fantastic!! :D

I brought my friend up from Florida who has stage 4 melanoma. He recently won Melanoma Advocate of the Year for his blog on philly.com. Mike got us backstage passes for both nights. I had fan club seats but we were able to stand in a little corral on the side of the stage by Mike. It was a truly amazing night to experience this with my friend TJ. Mike came over and handed me a setlist. (in between the 2nd and 3rd encore I think). Ed also came over during Sonic Reducer and handed the boy next to us (Otis) a tambourine. You see it at the beginning of this video but you unfortunately don't see Otis and his mom. They were beyond excited. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjJfyN5KNh8
If anyone has any video of Otis getting the tambourine from Ed please let me know.

I have all my pictures (including backstage) here: http://davidcoalter.smugmug.com/Photos/ ... ws/n-gs95Z

You can read T.J.'s blog post about the 1st night here: http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/pati ... years.html

During the beginning of Mike's solo on Porch he pointed to T.J. twice to make sure he knew he saw him and then continued to solo and look right at him. "How does that feel", I asked him. "Unf-ing believable!" he responded.

After the show we hung around backstage (we didn't have access to the dressing rooms) for about 45 minutes and were about to leave when Mike walked out. I introduced him to T.J. and they had a really meaningful and genuine conversation about Advocacy since Mike is a big advocate for Crohn's Disease from which he suffers. He mentioned that the world needs more people like T.J. and I just stood and watched how touched T.J. was as his eyes watered up. I took a quick picture of them and Mike was off.

That was my 25th show and I've never seen them have as much fun during a show as a collective group. Stone was pumping his arms to the crowd during Long Road. Jeff was smiling and interacting with the crowd and having tons of fun interacting with Mike the whole time. The band seems to be in a really good place right now.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience to give T.J. He's still on cloud nine about it all. Just goes to show that they're not just one of the greatest bands ever, but also some of the most down to earth and caring individuals. Whenever I've been with Mike somewhere I've been amazed that he won't leave until he at least gives a quick hello or autograph to every person waiting to talk to him. It's very humbling.

Looking back everything just clicked perfectly for this show. Setlist was awesome, band was tight and excited, and crowd was amazing. The Philly 2 and Baltimore shows were great but didn't quite match this one. 8-)

Great show with an incredible set list and fantastic energy.

  • Flew from Miami, and saw them for the first time in over 20 years at this show, and I'm so glad I did!

What an amazing show!! The crowd was incredible!! Couldn't ask for anything more! :D
  • I scored General admission pit tickets through 10C.
I went into the concert not expecting too much honestly ... I figured how could they possible match any of their numerous Philly shows from the past. I was wrong.
Got to the show pretty late(730ish) grabbed the tickets and headed to the pit.
Crazily enough My wife and I ended up pretty much 4 "rows" back @ the far left against the guardrail ...I suppose not downing beers paid off 'cause people constantly left for bathroom breaks or more beer... Fine by me 'cause We just kept working our way up

the experience was simply amazing. no other words can describe this night ... Being a ten club member paid off once again.

porch, leash and why go ... My goodness u just can't top that

If anyone has a picture of my rival sign from Philly 1-2 or Hartford, I would love to see it.

I haven't been able to find one yet but I know there has to be one, I held it up alot! Anytime the crowd was lit up.

    Thanks in advance!

  • I was the girl with the Brain of J sign on McCreedy's side, front row of the pit. Best show of my life!! McCreedy shook my hand and gave me two picks. I can die happy now. LOVE YOU PEARL JAM! :D

  • I still think this was one of the best of the tour :D
Question for those who have listened to the bootleg: Did they include Eddie saying happy birthday to Jake? I'm unable to purchase the bootlegs at the moment and I'm not sure if they usually leave that stuff on. Thanks :)
