Next show I am bringing 4 infants, 3 dogs, my cat, a goldfish and we're all pushing our way through to the rail.

Hard to believe this is actually true. Did anyone else see this? Not sure a baby could take the noise without going bonkers without ear protection. That is a lot of noise/stimulation for a 2 month old. I've seen Chris Cornell bring his young sons to shows, but they had on those industrial ear covers like people use when cutting trees with chainsaws.

Don't want to offend with this word but its what I thought so I'm just going to say it. I went to the pittsburgh show in October. I have a cool 3 year old son who can name all the members of PJ and headbangs to even flow. When my friend bailed last minute I had a fleeting thought to bring him with me into GA and I figured if it wasn't safe or appropriate or if he got tired of it we could just leave. Then I thought, "that's retarded" ( there's the word). I wanted to enjoy the show free of parental restraints and my common sense told me there is no way GA would be safe for a three year old. So.... An infant? RETARDED! As a mandatory reporter of child abuse due to my profession I would have had half a mind to call that shit in. :nono:

Does your profession have a mandatory requirement to report people who use derogatory terms in a public forum? I could see you using it ignorantly, however to highlight the fact that it would offend people then to use it is a shame.

Thankfully pioneers of offensiveness have precluded me. Lighten up!

Why? It's not their responsibility. There is no age limit and I'm sure infants get in without tickets to all/most events anyway.

Ultimately it is up to the parents and their (poor, in my opinion) judgement.

    Everyone needs to calm down.
That baby was the one I rented out to someone. The reason why he didn't have ear protection was because the renter checked the 'Ear Protection Waiver' box so he wouldn't incur the $5.00 fee.
    ...
Oh, and I was sure to note that the dent on his head was from the previous show in San Diego.

Boob busted out, nursing a baby, beer spilled down the back, dropped poster tube, rocking out to Glorified G! Good times![/quote]

Flashing boobs, even to nurse the baby. Ed's wife can't be mad at him for checking that out... it's not like the older chicks are flashing their boobs at the band anymore. :fp:

Just hope the baby doesn't choke on the guitar pick. The tambourine won't make it 2 weeks...

Would they have had to leave the baby at the door like you used to have to do with cameras? "you can retrieve it when you leave the show"

Sooo... 4 pages in, and has anyone actually confirmed the existence of an ACTUAL INFANT in the pit last night? Where did this rumor start, and where is the evidence?

Because without it, this whole thread is fake and just trying to stir the pot because someone was losing ground in the other thread this was discussed in.

Where is the evidence of this infant in the pit?

So if no one took a picture of said baby then said baby could not have existed? That is a leap. Not saying it couldn't just be a rumor - it certainly could - but the OP not having photographic or other "evidence" doesn't mean the thread is a fake. The story could certainly be true.

I definitely do not approve. Heck, I don't approve of 10 year olds being there.

But a lot of babies attended shows in the 60s and 70s with no long term effects.
Some might say that today's infants are babied too much. Just saying.

Given the particular source, on this topic, yeah, I'd want to see a pic or video. But what I was really saying is, where did this whole rumor start? The original poster wasn't at the show, so where did he hear from someone who was there that there was an infant in the pit?

A fanview, someone in another thread talking about the Oakland show... I just haven't seen one single link or reference to where this rumor started.

So,again, what is the source for this rumor? And is there any evidence? Because so far I've seen NONE.
