    Hi All

Would normally post this over at lifewasted but it's down at the moment.

Anywayz, as of yesterday I have 1 spare ticket to the third show in Melbourne. The guy who originally had it wrote-off his car yesterday and now can't afford to go.

    Details of the ticket.

Enter Door 17 (Stone's side, on the side)
Row G - Whch is 7 rows from the front.

Ticket is for face value $100.

Given the show is tomorrow, please sms or ring me on 0403325448 if you want the ticket or have any questions.

We can arrange a time and place for pickup/payment of the ticket, currently shacked up in an apartment in Melbourne CBD.

    Thanks

    Jim

    BTW

The reason you'll need to sms or ring is because I am posting from an internet cafe and not able to check every so often.

    Thanks

    Hey Zig!!!

Yeah you went for a piss (probably had Parachutes playing in your head :D) but Leigh said lets go for a beer, so considering there were a shitload of people pushing me along as I waited for ya, we went and sat in the pub section.

Saw you and Leigh sitting with some others at a table, not inside the pub section though, but when I got up to come over, you had all gone....

Spewin though, coz could have talked about that concert for AGESSSSS, and would have had a lick of that hand as well hehe

And I did recognise you initially, but the confirmation that it was you was wheh I saw you with Leigh...

I was looking and looking and looking but thought you must have run to catch the train. We had to go get all our merchandise out of someone's car that was ten kilometres away so we missed the train and shared a taxi bus back to the city. We were going to go to the Embassy after dropping off all our stuff at the hotel room but my feet couldn't walk another step! I collapsed on the couch and made people bring me beers for the next few hours!

And the hand is MINE okay....no licks for YOU or ANYONE ELSE!!! I woke up in the middle of the night and saw Leigh with his tongue outstretched trying to lick it but I rolled over and tucked my hand away for the rest of the night! ;)

    My wedding vows will be:

    Through good and bad
    Through sickness and health
But when it involves Pearl Jam
YOU'RE ON YOUR FUCKING OWN!!! ;):D

Hmm... Are you sure it was your HAND he was trying to lick? :p

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks Parachutes is a good song for a bathroom break at a PJ concert .. ;)

Parachutes was better live than on the album....but I still would have preferred another song off the new album to Parachutes.

Then they played bloody Wishlist (my toilet break song from last year) for Brisbane 2.

I was thinking "If I get Thumbing My Way as well, I'll know one of the band has been reading our Aussie tour thread and just wants to shit me off!!!"

Nah .. Ed was looking directly at me when he said it. It was at the end of the show and I thought stuff it, I've had enough of not seeing anything all night and jumped on my seat ... Ed saw me, started blowing kisses and said "love you"

That whole album sounds better live.

After the friday show i was driving round with the wife so i put the Avo in the CD player and i couldn't listen to it. The recorded version just couldn't match the intensity of them live. I NEED to get the bootleg NOW!

There are not many bands out there that are better live then in the studio. Pearl Jam live shits allover pearl jam studio.

    Vedder roasts Howard

AdvertisementPearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is the latest major overseas rocker to roast Prime Minister John Howard.

Midway through the American quintet's Melbourne show last night, Vedder slammed Howard for blaming the decline of the Australian economy on bananas.

"You know what," he said, "John Howard should get his hand off of George Bush's banana!"

The comment drew a huge roar from the 12,000-strong sell-out crowd.

The American rockers have never shied away from political commentary, in particular criticism of the Bush Government and the Iraq War. They were one of the first mainstream rock bands to openly condemn their government's actions. Like the Dixie Chicks, they have faced strong criticism for it at home.

Last night's incendiary two-and-a-half-hour show, the first of three sold-out engagements in Melbourne, dug heavily into the band's enormous back catalogue - now eight studio albums deep - and broke the venue's curfew by 20 minutes.

Highlights included Black, Alive, Corduroy, Given To Fly, Daughter and a surprise cover of Jimi Hendrix's Little Wing.

When a security guard attempted to eject a patron for smoking a cigarette, Vedder stopped singing and pleaded with the guard to go easy on him.

"I'm the bad guy, not him," he noted, before cheekily lighting a cigarette on stage.

"Take me before you take him!" he said defiantly.
