I'm not sure what the hostess chicks are like on QANTAS but they'd have to be Jennifer Hawkins clones to rate that highly over Virgin's hostesses. I flew virgin up to townsville this time last year, and all the ladies were ace

Not sure about Jetstar but our Virgin flights didn't have TVs to watch. Takes his mind off it A LOT!

We always used to fly Virgin and they are too small for his legs. His knees were hitting the chair in front of him. In 2005 he flew Qantas to go to his Grandad's funderal and he felt A LOT more comfortable -- and it had a TV. So Qantas it is.

And I really don't think how hot the hostesses are really matters to him. He's got ME remember!

I know of people who had cheap tix booked with either virgin or jetstar, their flight was cancelled, but at least they got their 50 bucks back, not even going to try and imagine their frustration, I am certainly not going to risk this situation. I will admit it was a flight out of Launceston, but I suppose fifty bucks isn't much to refund either. They had to wait till the next day to fly out and missed their international flights as a result.

im flying to perth with virgin, got tickets fro $129 i think.
im flying over on thursday night cause midweek flights are shitloads cheaper... also means that if a flight gets cancelled i can always get another without being in any panic.

also flying back on the monday, tho im thinking about staying longer cause perth is a great city! and it'll be summer so i get to work on my arctic white tan

And if paying the extra makes him more comfitable and feel better about flying well then i guess it might be worth it, but with the money you save flying with Virgin or Jetstar you could afford to buy him an Video Ipod to watch and keep him quiet on those flights.

And it is only 1 hour to sydney, i can understand wanting to pay more to be comfitable for a longer flight, i think i said to you some other time ask them when you check in to seat you in the emergancy isle that's what i do and i have heaps of room, and i'm 6'2.

but yeah qantas are better but i don't think they are that much better for the price they ask.

He used to be a great flyer until 2003 when we went to PJ. We were sitting in a pub reading a paper and it said a Virgin flight (which I think was going to or from Townsville) was a few seconds away from crashing into another plane and the people on the plane could see the other plane getting closer and closer.

Then on our flight home, he was really nervous and unfortunately there was a fair bit of turbulance and Leigh shit himself. Now he's scared of Virgin and somehow Jetstar has been thrown into that equation too...even though Jetstar wasn't around back then. But Jetstar has been in the news a few times with various problems and faults. Maybe that's why. So Qantas it is. Whatever makes my boy feel safe.

hey on the way back from taiwan we flew over a typhoon.... now if we can get through that then they can get through an hour trip in most likely lush weather...
