I broke last night. :( I had about 6 ciggies because we had a few beers....bad mistake....but I reallllly felt like a few beers!

But I haven't had any ciggies today! And I won't tomorrow and for as long as I can go again. I wish I could just be a smoker when I drank. Actually, that would probably result in me drinking 24/7! Bad idea! Oh WHY is it so hard?!?!?!?

Hi All

Assistance required from you all:

Friday 10th November is Brisbane 1 (no confirmation of this fact required, pretty confident about this one) and im flying up that day for the concert.

I have been a lazy biatch and flights from midday onwards are $139 one way.

My mate im coming up with cant get off work any earlier than 3, so he is catching the 5pm flight.

We are staying with his mate in Brissy, but I dont know the guy, which is ok.

The question is, do I catch a flight first thing in the morning, when the tickets are only $69, or wait for him for the afternoon and pay $139?

The thing is, we wont be sitting next to eachother anyway, as he has already booked his ticket.

The other thing is, ill have a suitcase to lug around all day until he arrives...

Is anyone else making the trip up early? What about the locals?? Im assuming everyone is working that day then heading to the show after work?

Considering the rest of the trips I need to make, any saving in cash is welcomed, but just dont know if its the right thing to do or wait to fly up with him as well.

Personally, I'd be on the earlier flight JUST IN CASE something happens to the 5pm flight (gets delayed etc) and you miss the concert! All it takes is one dickhead to mention a bomb in their bag and the whole fucking airport gets delayed!

Catch the early flight to allow for delays leave your bag at the terminal in a locker and then collect it when your friend arrives..
My flight to melb is 6am....LOL
The redeye flight....Im going to dump my bags at the Hotel then have a look around melb until the room is ready normally about 2 then im going back to crash for a few hrs then walk to Rod Laver....

Does anyone here know anyone that works at Qantas? I want to know if there are any good specials coming up....because at the moment, my flights are $170 each way = $340 x 2 = $680!!!! :eek: And Leigh won't travel on Jetstar or Virgin because he hates flying! Fuck I hope they have some good deals coming up veeeery shortly!

My mate's girlfriend works with Qantas. I emailed her Tuesday and while she couldnt get cheaper flights than what was on the net, she said she would email in advance any upcoming specials that way I got in early, so when I know, we all will know

Also, the friend that my brother booked through for his contiki etc also works for Qantas. I also emailed her on Tuesday, but as yet, no response. Again, if I hear anything, you'll hear it here - second (but before the public)

I'd recommend Richmond Club or Corner Hotel. For pre drinking. Close and If enough people wanna turn up im sure we can sort something wit the owners

Well jetstar now have allocated seating so they are the same shit really.

Just tell Leigh the hostess chicks are hotter on Virgin and it's like half the fucking price. oh yeah and don't mention the terror plot to bomb planes that was foiled in the UK today.

And why does he feel better about flying QANTAS over Virgin or jetstar, they all fly the same planes and have the same guys service them so any one of them has just as much chance of going down as the other.
