    Fuck.... Thumbing.

Fuck.... I wish I went for this and a few others. Idk how the crowd was but on paper this looks like the tour winner so far. Absolutely came out of left field with this one.

C-ville, you're a beautiful city and you got the show you deserved. Congratulations.

I'm sorry but if this set list was played in baltimore we would have heard crickets and seen a lot of sitting...no comparison as far as venue, crowd, etc

I can't believe I was on the rail for this fucking show, best night of my life, by far.
  • This show was mind blowing! The band was on fire, having a great time on stage, the crowd was on fire. It was a special night.

THANK YOU TEN CLUB!!! I was on the rail right in front of Stone next to some great people. Most of us it was the first time seeing the band this close. During Corduroy I was watching Stone while jamming out to the song, Stone looks dead at me and start shaking his head. My wife and I got to touch Mike's guitar. She was in heaven. Was able to grab a few Eddie and Mike picks also. Eddie must love Batman... one had the bat mobile and the other had Bat Girl. Another Stone moment, he was standing in front us at the end of the show and I'm jumping and pointing and hollaring "STONE, STONE", he looks and smiles and waves. Can't say enough about how these guys interact with their fans all night long.

This was my one and only show of this tour and good lord was it an unbelievable show and I cannot wait to hear the boot.

I was 2nd deep to the rail between Ed and Jeff

    Venue was 7/8 full

Show was intense. Set was anything but normal, except playing lots of new songs.

Home in Richmond now winding down with wine.

Fucking great show. Jeff seemed particularly happy, FYI.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

  • I've never seen an Encore 1 that made me so envious. Every single song, a masterpiece.

And how many tour debuts were there in this show? A half a dozen at least?

    Unbelievable.

This show had a lot of the intangibles in addition to all the other stuff. The random jams...the crowd chant after sirens was over and ed playing acoustic a bit to it (so awesome)...the fight that stopped down...I was right where security guarded GA and you wouldn't believe the tricks attempted to get in there... On guy charged his way in and security had him pinned to floor in the middle of GA. I was amazed how much ppl were singing to rarities...it was awesome and the band loved it... Arena had great acoustics and ed mentioned it.

Is that the first time Pearl Jam ever played a full band cover of Little Wing?

Great show. I think people are over-reacting about how good the crowd was.

We all need to consider where this band is at. Arguably in their prime on stage...I mean seriously they sound better than ever, all 5 of them.

Sat Stone's side 14 rows up directly next to where the band was coming on and off the stage. THE SETLIST WAS RIDICULOUS. I really wanted Not For You and Breakerfall after not getting them at Brooklyn 2.

EDIT: OMG GRIEVANCE INTO GLORIFIED G was so raw and awesome.

No, not the 1st time. It's one of my favorite tags and I remember going into cardiac arrest in, pretty sure it was Gorge '06, and they played/sang the whole song. Awesome!

OK so a show finally knocked My Morning Jacket at Red Rocks off the top my personal "post-Who-recent-best-show-perch"

Frankly- I think I might have liked this more than PJ20 (my last PJ show)
My "retirement band" delivered 3 hours of sweetness.

    Highlights for me-

    -My all timer- "Rearviewmirror"

-Eddie reprising his reckless youth, swinging on a globe hanging from the ceiling during "Porch".

    -Incredible number of live rarities.

-Three Rock & Roll classic covers : My first "Mother" (Pink Floyd-Eddie & Mike KILLED their parts; "Do you trust your government" got a big crowd shout down) my second "Baba-(They turn up all the lights during this of course - and the crowd is in a frenzy-I will never get tired of seeing this) and finally "Little Wing"- not just the tag!

-Two kids in the rail getting the royal treatment like the 13 y.o. in Worcester.

-All the speculation about the conservative crowds was crazy- The place was intense and rowdy.

-Jeff & Stone got a lot a love tonight, full band bow and all that. At one point Eddie said he would talk about Mike later, but I don't think he ever did!

Every show seems to be a classic- this is ridiculous!

  • Just got home to Northern Virginia. That was my 14th and best show yet. Absolutely amazing set list. "Sad" is one of my absolute favorites and was so glad they played it. I was right on the rail directly in front of Mike, and got props from him and from Ed for my "Bath Tub Gin" t-shirt. I also got to hand Mike one of my band's guitar picks as a thank you. He looked at, looked back at my with a "what is this?" look on his face and I pointed to myself and said "that's me!" He thanked me!!!! Wow.

There was a dude in a wheelchair that made it up to the front behind me about halfway through the show and we moved around to get him on the rail. Mike came over before the encore and gave him a couple of CD's, and Ed handed him a tambourine at the end of the show. Freaking amazing guys.

I met some great folks in the GA line outside, and once we got in. What a great night! Thank you Pearl Jam!!!!!
