    Spot on.

Imagine this mind fuck scenario for Encore 1:
    Low Light
    Yellow Moon
    All Or None
    Parting Ways
    You Are
    Help Help
    Hard To Imagine

Call the crew to start fucking mopping brains off the floor.

    I came

see, i'd place help help before you are and replace hard to imagine with something HEAVY....how do you feel about deep?

Fuck, I can get on board with that. Either Deep or Blood.

    Encore 1:
    Low Light
    Yellow Moon
    All Or None
    Parting Ways
    Help Help
    You Are
    Deep
    Blood

I would dare them to bust that encore out....complete mind fuck.

This thread has veered off, but as far as writing goes and performance goes, I love "I am Mine," I would put it ahead of pendulum. I like the song "getaway" better from this album, but lyrically, maybe pendulum is better.

    (sleight of hand)

    thoughts?

case can only be made for a tiny handful of songs but i think pendulum takes it

You must have read my mind, was thinking the same thing earlier today. But I was even going for best this side of Yield. It just feels different, mystical in some way, simple but yet genius, love the slow haunting tempo, the drumming and base do it for me I think.

This is the type of song that makes me feel there is still hope for PJ to create music that is actually better than the stuff that made me listen to them in the first place.

I would agree best since Yield, except for the fact that Inside Job was post-Yield. I LOVE Pendulum though.

What's funny is this is a left over backspacer song... Would it have saved that album?

how would LB be without it?

Just more fuel for the debate.

And no, not at all best since binaural.

    1/2 full
    Inside job
    All or none

Are all great songs from in between the two albums.
I've been thinking about that too.. I'm glad it wasn't on backspacer.. It does seem to fit LB better. Imagine what it must take to hold back suck a kick as soon like this for so long.

pendulum is fantastic and is in a three way tie for first off LB with getaway and sirens. favorite still to be determined...

getaway is nothing ground breaking for the band, just a solid PJ tune. sirens is so damn catchy and easy on the ears, it's hard to not debate it as the best off LB.

i'd give pendulum a top three or four since binuaral (giving the nod to all or none, you are, unemployable).

Wow I can't believe some people are saying best since Yield, 1/2 of Binaural is better than ANYTHING on LB IMO, and I say that as a huge fan of LB.
  • I'm not thrilled by Pendulum at all. I actually skip the song after the singing starts. After reading this though, I will give it another listen. :?

  • Love Pendulum, probably my favorite song on LB but, for me, I Am Mine & Thumbing My Way are better songs.

I didn't care for Pendulum much at first, but after giving the song a few more spins, it's really starting to grow on me

2 songs that sprung to my mind reading the OP.

Which song is better and rate the songs threads are starting to make my head hurt. I'm starting a " "Who has an opinion?" Thread.
Happy up here in my tree

Not sure about the title. I think they wrote some amazing songs since Binaural. But Pendulum is def. one of my favourites.
  • it is hard to compare songs from different albums and put one song over another. saying that, pendulum reminds me so much of no code, which is my favorite album, that i put it way way way up there.

It has some psychedelic quality too. And even though the lyrics seem simplistic, they are very poetic and impressionistic. I like it.

And the pendulum swings to and fro...

Wow. People lovin some pendulum! Respect. Can't believe it's being labeled as the best pj song by some, in a decade, however. It's a cool jam no doubt, but c'mon people, the best in a decade??, lol.

This kind of happens quick with a song for some people every time a new album comes out :P

That said, my cd just arrived today from 10c and I am just listening to the album for the first time as I type this. I am on Sirens now, so it's coming up soon ;)

I am not sure if its their best song in a decade. It *is* a good song though. I guess that this all indicates that some fans wants them to go on a more experimental direction. I feel like that. I like the song LB. But I rather have two Pendulums than 2 LB'lts. LB sounds to me too much like Amongs the Waves - an arena type of rocker.

I hear ya, I enjoyed listening to it both nights in Philly. And for the record, I ain't knocking it at all, it's a bad lil number and I too like the experimentation. Will never have anything bad to say about a new song, except, in a perfect world, would rather only hear it open once on back to back nights. That's just me though...
