Yup Wrigley was actually the worst crowd this year....understandably....myself included. But this crowd I was completely caught off guard by. I didn't expect it to be as awesome as it was but I'll say again it was the best crowd since the Spectrum shows that I have been to. Brooklyn was great but this I just could die. So many bucket list songs.

I've been waiting to read what you thought of the show and here you are and it's 1:20 a.m....I'm glad you had an awesome time but I hope I don't get floor seats next week like you got. Ok if you are 6'5", right? I'm the opposite, lol!
Fantastic show, wasn't thrilled with floor seats but actually had a pretty good view. My feet are killing from standing on my toes a lot but well worth it. New stuff was excellent and well received by the crowd, in true Philly fashion.

Surprise highlight for me, 1/2 full, love that. Already losing my voice, so by tomorrow I'm screwed.

    Love this fucking band!!!

Big shout out to the 3 guys on the rail directly in front of Stone. They made some space on the rail for my sister and I. The good karma definitely worked for them. By the end of the night they had a Eddie pick, a tambourine, Eddie poured them some wine, and they each got a drum stick. You deserve all that and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    Amazing night!

What a killer show. It took 20 shows but I finally got Long road. This one almost compares to Philly 3. The band was on fire and I can't wait for tonight's show.

Just got back to Harrisburg. Glad you mentioned Philly 3. I said the same thing to my buddy right after Rearview. Top 3 for sure, right there with Philly 3.

I was really hoping for side stage tickets, but floor seats were really good, I was dead center and really great view, just had to dodge once in a while.

I'll say it again too, the crowd was amazing. This city loves PJ!!!

Definitely thrilled with my 283xxx pulling 113 row 5 seats! Less thrilled with the lackluster crowd around me. But energy overall in the building was crazy. And not due to excessive alcohol consumption, which is always a plus.

To the douchebag in front of me - who pays $80 to sit and text all fucking night?! (Side note: I read one of his texts and offered him my business cards bc it appeared as though he was discussing car shopping with the recipient. I'll die laughing if I hear back from him!). Oh, and your friend the smoker, he can eff off too.

But I digress. I have seen every Philly area show since 2004 and this is in the top 3. Still hold #4 at the top, but this comes close! Band was ON! Ed sounded superb. Downright sexy on "Mother." Mike, Jeff, Matt, Boooooooom, and especially Stone, were tight as hell!! My love for this band grows with each tour.

How will they top this tomorrow??
I recently lost my mom, so hearing Long Road early on was really special, then they whipped out MOTHER! forget it.

Usually a lot of the credit goes to the face melter Mike McCready and rightfully so, butI was on Stone's side section 114 and loved watching him go off! He was really on fire tonight with songs like Brain of J, Not for You, and the frenetic ending to RVM.

Other highlights... no Corduroy! No Betterman! No Rockin' in the Free World! no doubt we'll get them tomorrow

What a great night!!! Thanks PJ! I have been to all the shows on this tour and Holy Fuck Philly, you guys brought it. Best show of the tour so far for me! The band was really feeling this crowd! I usually don't write fanviews...but this show may be worthy...tomorrow or post tour though! I agree this crowd was on fire and reminded me of Philly 3 @ the Spectrum!

All the mention of Philly 3, love that. I went to all 4 shows and that Friday showed kicked major ass!! Lost my voice that night and already losing voice just from tonight, so yeah this show can rightfully be compared.

I was reminded of Philly 3, too -- just a wonderful night. After the main set, I thought, you know, they could quit now and I would be happy. Then they whipped out that first encore. Wow.

A lot of people will be struggling through their day tomorrow/ today, but it was worth it. Now to try to sleep!

    Birthday show tomorrow. Word.
  • This show was fantastic. Eddie's voice sounded great. Enjoyed seeing him flying around on the light ball things during Porch - shades of 1992. Mike and Stone both had some tasty guitar licks. 34 songs - mindboggling. Great crowd, great setlist, great night. Looking forward to PJ23 tomorrow.

FINISH PLAYING COME BACK PLEASE THANKS

Thanks to the greatest band in the world for pouring it out. I don't think they can have anything left for tonight!

Long Road was so special with having lost my aunt a few months ago. At her funeral I even said an Eddie. I said "We lost one of the good ones." She was a dedicated teacher just like Eddie dedicated Long Road to his old teacher in San Diego 2006.
