    awesome!
did he/she win? I can't see the link at work.
My dad is big into horse racing and when I was a kid, we'd just call the track if we didn't know where he was

Would have been nice if you had given some of us horse players a heads up on this.

    ;)

My $20 across the board would have been a nice little score.
Let us know when he runs next.

  • Yeah, he won. Paid $20.20 to win. I would have given all a heads up but I was in China last week and had to hack my way into NYRA at 5am to be able to watch. I think we are going to put him in an overnight stakes race on Oct. 27th at Belmont. I'll try to keep everyone posted. Cheers!

  • Holy $hit what a nice turn of foot! Congrats...best thing I've seen in awhile a horse named I Got Id. I am a huge racing fan myself. Two year old MSW? Your horse is going in my virtual stable even though next time out he will probably be chalk :)
  • Who was the jockey?

  • Rajiv Maragh was up first time. Guided him to a perfect trip. Don't think he'll be chalk next time as we'll probably move up in class, espc if we get in the stakes race on the 27th. I'm from Saratoga so my goal is to have him run here next summer as a 3 year old.......after he wins the derby , Preakness and Belmont of course!

  • of course! I went to SAR as a kid in the 80s...so many great memories of a very special place. What it would feel like to have your own horse racing and winning there!

Good point. Is it the Awad, keeping him on the turf? Ok I am getting ahead, bored at home furloughed.... I'll wait for entries.

honestly ... this is one of the most awesome things i've seen in a while! ...:lol:

good luck dude with your horse!! ...
  • Thanks for posting this. It brought a big smile to my face watching the race.
  • As a side note, Rod Serling, the pre-race handicapper, when discussing Id on TVG said he just got a text asking if "I Got Id" has anything to do with Pearl Jam? Super smile. I'll keep you all updated on future entries.

  • good thing you didn't name him Backspacer. He may have been a bit slower on his feet.

Recently in Australia there has been a horse going around called Dissident. Has been running ok!

Over the years we've had a few PJ related horse names run around...Even Flow, Sleight of Hand to name two I can remember.

There was also a greyhound called Given to Fly.

Would love to own a horse and give it a PJ name!!

Best of Luck with I Got ID!

Seriously where was the heads up? ;-)

The announcer seemed to think it was a Freudian horse though from his pronunciation.

Really pleased for you and must've been so much fun.

I've dealt with race horses off and on over the years.. You got a good one my friend.. Still had pls try of horse to stretch that field.. He just eased right in there! And yeah I laughed at the Fruedian pronunciation!! But really! Please let us know.. You got a runner in that one..

I think you have something going here. Best I can come up with:

    Saddle of Hand
    Mane your manners
    GO
    Gateaway
    off he goes

    Wind this thing up.

  • Race 4 Thursday! $100,000 stakes. I'll be there. then I'm heading to Hartford!
