seriously??
Dimi is not from the US, he truly has not heard the term.
Dimi-auto tune is a computer used to make a singer who cannot sing the correct key properly sound like they can sing. Look for a Paris Hilton song, she uses AutoTune, most pop singers use it.

The voice feels tweaked and harsch... not the Riot Act baby-bottom-smoothness! But i think it works with the songs and works better than Backspacer.
But I can def hear something "digital" or a "autotuned" quality with the voice in some tracks."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

The echo effect on 'once' could be considered in the same school as the Pendulum example.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

The first time I heard your Auto tune in Pendulum.. I was like... Whoa, that was different...

I just learned that those colored boxes at Mike's feet are something called "effects pedals".
Apparently, they change the natural sound of his guitars.
I'm not sure that I can go on...

This has been said already but that's not auto-tune in Pendulum. Reverb/delay/distortion, yes, but not auto-tune. And it sounds fucking awesome.0 -
Not sure if that example given by the op is auto tune or not, bit it is kinda sloppy editing at the very least.
I think the copy/paste during MYM is more troubling than this supposed auto tune.
I know there was some speculation of auto tune fort he Sirens video. I think it's kinda weird to auto tune or do overdubs for a "live" video.0 -

Do we really think that anyone's voice after 20 plus years of touring, making records, smoking, drinking is going to sound the same. I don't think so. Albums are engineered and produced. So what. I would rather focus on content and lyrics and be happy that my favorite band is still growing and putting out albums 20+ years later. We are the lucky ones. I know I have changed in 20 years. Thank you PJThis is Not For You0

I think it's too harsh to just lump Eddie here in with Britney spears and accuse him of simply using auto-tune. It's just effects used in recording like you would for any other instrument to get it to sound the way the band wants or likes. I don't really dig it that much either when it's overused but I don't suddenly think any artist who uses it is a hack. Some people think Mike uses too much wah but to some, like me, you can never use too much wah.
I also think this is more a Brendan O'Brien thing than an Eddie thing. I found the last couple of Springsteen albums O'Brien produced had way too many effects on Bruce's vocals but his last record "Wrecking Ball" either used less or used ones that were less obvious and I think they sounded better. I noticed this on Backspacer too. Eddie sounds better with Adam Kaspar producing but the rest of the band sound really awesome with O'Brien producing. so, you know...
Anyway, this is a great record so whatever Eddie likes doing is fine with me.0 -

Seriously, who cares? It's not like they're taking a dump on the Mona Lisa here.
It's unfortunate if this kills the album for some, but to each their own. To everyone else, enjoy the album!"I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love."
