Pearl Jam Twenty Screenings
September 23 2013

Bring Pearl Jam Twenty to your town!

Pearl Jam is teaming up with Gathr to bring Pearl Jam Twenty to theaters in select tour markets.

Experience Pearl Jam Twenty in a theater. Watch it again or view it for the first time if you missed the original theatrical release. At these select screenings, before the original film, Pearl Jam will bring you a special feature that includes interviews and live performances of songs from their forthcoming album Lightning Bolt.

Also with your ticket purchase Pearl Jam and Gathr will send you a free digital bootleg download from a select show on the 2013 North American Tour (Delivery of bootleg will come after tour ends). Gathr allows you to bring the movies you want to a venue near you. Here’s how it works:

1. Create a Gathr.us account—super easy and free.

2. Click here and request a Pearl Jam Twenty screening (US only) or pick from the list of screenings already available (listed below).

3. Fill in details about your event including a date range, time and venue.

4. Gathr will get started right away arranging your screening.

5. Gathr screenings can only happen if a minimum number of people reserve tickets before a screening request expires. So tell ALL your friends, family and anyone else you think would be interested in seeing the film.

6. Turn it into a social event for all your friends and fellow Pearl Jam fans.

10/1/13 Update:
Pearl Jam fans…what better way to warm up for a Pearl Jam tour than watching Pearl Jam Twenty in a theater full of your fellow Faithfull.

A few cities have reached the number of people reserving tickets to make these screenings happen, however, there are plenty of cities that haven't reached the minimum.

Gathr screenings can only happen if a minimum number of people reserve tickets before a screening request expires.

On every screening page you'll find an update that shows you the number of current reservations, the number of additional reservations needed to tip the screening, as well as how much time remains before that screening request expires.

When enough people reserve tickets to a screening before time expires, the screening takes place. If the minimum number of reservations is not met, the screening does not take place and nobody is charged.

A few new screening requests are up for ticket reservations now please check:
http://gathr.us/films/pearl-jam-twenty to see if they are in your area.

Help spread the word and get your friends to join you.

So the Oakland screening is when PJ is in San Diego?

Guess the people that travel won't see it, oh well.
  • 'US only' once again... Another insult to all PJ fans worldwide.

Or anywhere in the UK? It's not like we would have to travel too far if it was somewhere in the middle ;)

  • I've been a pj fan forever and have seen them a million times in concert but I must say pj20 was a huge disappointment. here's why:

1.The beginning started out ok giving us some insight into the Seattle scene as well as where the band members came from but they didn’t show Eddie’s first group.
2.It wrapped up the whole drummer issue in a few seconds without giving any real mention as to why dave abbruzeese got fired. we all know why but they should've included it.
3.It started to mention the power struggle within the band and then dropped the topic without mentioning details of the fight or how reconciliation was made.
4.It made zero mention of the albums following Vitalogy or how album sales basically plummeted.

This documentary in my opinion was made for the serious PJ fan (let’s face it, only a serious fan would watch a 2 hour documentary on PJ) but let the fan down by making a very superficial documentary which gave the fan no more insight on the band than he already had.

I sorta agree, the movie has a lot of goosebump moments, tear jerker moments and some funny stories but the book is way better if your looking for a complete history. Even then they don't talk much about the Dave A. story though.
  • :fp: :fp: :fp: Jesus! I thought we were done with that sterilized anachronistic ridiculous self-introduction!
    These people are unstoppable!
It would have been better if Vedder had done that Calvin Klein underwear photo shoot back in the 90's. We would have avoided a lot.

On the contrary, it seems to me this film is a 2-hour infomercial designed to attract new fans or re-attract old ones, especially since it's pretty easily available to watch at any time via Netflix. I'm not complaining; I've watched PJ20 about 5x by now! Plus, it reignited my love for them.

I am disappointed in this screenings schedule though... Once again, no love for the south. Although, if this is successful maybe they'll consider live streaming a few concerts nationwide like the NY Metropolitan Opera does.

  • I requested one in the Northern Virginia area (just outside of DC) for the days leading up to the Baltimore show.
I wonder how many tickets will need to be sold to meet requirements.

I bought a ticket for Baltimore. Who else is going?! :)

I figure the bootleg alone is worth the $10. The Movie again and the bonus footage will make a cool night. Hopefully the Baltimore show gets enough people!

  • Anyone can add screenings in his/her area. The ones listed here are just the "main" screenings. I added New Orleans. It's really easy if the theater accepts the request.
  • brolocobroloco Posts: 1,237
Again with this film?????Sorry but I think this whole thing is lame. I already paid in the theater when it first came out. Then the first time it came out on DVD. And then the next round of DVDs when that came out! So you want more money from me?
Now of it were an hour of the making of lightning bolt + listening party with goodie bag giveaways or something ...then maybe I would buy a ticket. Maybe.
  • Would rather catch a High Def 2K copy of Immagine In Cornice or something than this again.

  • i never thought pearl jam would be playing worcester ma (where i was born and lived for 25 years), and that date is coming quick! then i was totally surprised to see they were doing the PJ20 screening in Millbury, MA (the town i actually lived in for 25 years, with a population of about 13,000). I never thought i'd see worcester AND millbury listed anywhere on this website. so grateful for this!!! in fact i'm gonna be flying in from san diego (where i live), just because i can't have PJ so close to my hometown and miss it. just wanted to share my excitement, as most people i know, don't care all the much about this (aside for being happy for me).

The film was great for a fan like myself.
I was never able to see in Theaters since there wasn't a showing in my area. Have DVD but would love to see on big screen
    Hopefully will get one now.
Would rather see Alpine DVD but this movie is good. It brings back a lot of memories-a Special time in my life. To see the band grow it brings goosebumps
