That's a great song off Vs. The reason I bring this up is because I have to have a blood test done today (fasting). Now I have that song on my mind, especially when the needle hits my arm today.

    One of my favorite little tidbits in the Pearl Jam canon, how Ed slips into third-person narration there for a second.

    It certainly does make more sense.
    LOVE Blood, especially certain live versions. I pray to see it live someday and that Ed will still be able to do it justice if i do.

    I can't believe the first time I heard this song I didn't like it. Now I so want to hear it live. I like the live version I think from New Zealand that is on PJ20. I can watch that over and over.

    Always loved Blood but when i saw the Verona 06 version on Immagine in Cornice i then realised this was the zenith of its being! Not as aggressive as the early days but a band that was so tight & taking a song to another level, which PJ have always been the masters of.

    My favorite version is the one from Croatia, 2006. It's fucking awesome IMO. It's the Atomic Dog tag/heavy breathing part that clinches it.

    listening to Brisbane 2009 today. cover of AC/DC If you wan't blood you got it followed seamlessly by Blood. Awesome! Hadn't heard this boot before and it was really intense! Youtube does not do it justice and wish I could find in one video but here they are. It's so good on the boot cuz there is no musical break between the two and the energy is crazy!!

    That was a historic moment. During the outro, Ed destroyed his '82 Fender Telecaster (that his mom bought him after hocking her wedding ring). You know, the guitar with the "SKATEBOARDING IS NOT A CRIME" sticker on it.

    One of my favorite versions is 11/1/95 SLC, Jack Irons was in top form.
