Got mine yesterday from Amazon...sounds great!0 -
The show last night was absolutely incredible! I had seen them four times previously, but never that up close and personal. Amazing to see one of their shows that's stripped of all their production and it's even more intense. The new album took me a few listens before I started to get into it. They only played three new songs last night, but it's making me like the new stuff even more. "Came Back Haunted" and "Disappointed" were great and it was cool to see a few rarities. Feel really fortunate that I was able to get into the show, as I initially glanced over the lottery numbers they tweeted and thought I didn't win since I didn't get an email at first. Glanced back at them and realized one of the numbers was mine and the email came through about 20-30 min later.

Hoping I can catch them again in the fall.

I saw a clip of Head Like a Hole from this show: it looks extremely small. I know the capacity is only 400, but still. I would love to go see NIN in a club venue. Even though I saw them twice in their "deconstructed" form in 2009, in Toronto, both of them at Molson Amphitheatre, I still want to go see them in a much smaller capacity venue. It may not happen for awhile though. At least, I will do GA Floor when they come to Toronto on October 4. And I'm hoping they will do another Tension North American tour next year, except they will play amphitheatres instead of arenas like they did with their With Teeth Tour in 2006.kasedoug wrote:The show last night was absolutely incredible! I think that just might happen.
On another note, I see some HTDA shows were cancelled. I wonder why0 -

I guess Alessandro has been playing live shows with them as well.0 -
What shows were cancelled? I just looked on their site and they have played all shows except two festivals0

Less than two weeks before Nine Inch Nails will kick off their Tension North American Tour on September 28 in St. Paul, Minnesota. I can't wait to see them in Toronto on October 4. I can expect to receive an email from Musictoday in the next two weeks regarding on how to pick up my ticket. Fans who bought their tickets through the nin.com pre-sale should expect an email about a few days before their respective show(s).0

Just got tickets for the first show in St. Paul. To say I'm stoked is an understatement! It's been a while since I've been to a "big" show, last NIN show was 2008 so I'm definitely excited!0

Was that the show where NIN postponed their Minneapolis, Minnesota show in August 2008 to November due to illness from Trent Reznor? I remember reading it and was hoping they wouldn't postpone their Toronto show, which was just a few days after their Minneapolis show on August 2 and Lollapalooza on August 3. I actually hadn't really noticed his sore throat at all when I saw them in Toronto on August 5. I did seat back then, but I didn't know that those who bought nin.com pre-sale tickets would get early entry so I was glad to have done that instead of GA Floor. I don't mind doing GA Floor, but when I do this, I do want to be as close to the stage as possible, which is what I will do when I go see NIN on October 4.adusick wrote:Just got tickets for the first show in St. Paul. No actually I saw them at the Lollapalooza gig, but yes I remember the postponement of the St. Paul show. At the time I wasn't a huge fan, just knew the "hits", but that Lolla show made me dig deeper and turned me into a fan.
I hate to say this, but I'm almost anticipating this NIN show more than I would a PJ show! Maybe.

Funny you say you only knew the hits back then: I too only knew the hits more and was actually more familiar with their newer stuff than their older stuff. When I saw them at the LITS, the only songs that I didn't know were The Big Come Down and the Ghosts stuff. Saw them two more time in 2009 and couldn't believe how heavily varied the setlist was.adusick wrote:jasonbouchard88 wrote:

Everyone is entitled to their opinion as to who they prefer more. In my case, I prefer NIN more most likely because of their intense light show as well as you don't need to pay to be a nin.com member, which gives you the opportunity to buy nin.com pre-sale tickets. I can't believe their Toronto show is close of being sold out. I was pretty sure that the 300L would not be really filled, especially with the tickets being more expensive. I was wrong. It looks like that there will be more fans going to the Toronto show on October 4 than when NIN played on August 5, 2008.0 -
received my vinyl today. free cd with it, and package marked as gift so I did not have to pay any customs fees & taxes. way to go! will definitely consider ordering from them again.
now, to finally find some free time to spin that record...0
