I think most people simply view tickets and merch differently. I know I do. You can buy merch later on the secondary market. You can't buy going to a show after the show has happened. Anyone can consider merch and getting to a show in the same way if they want, but I don't. Seeing PJ live is something that all members should have a fair and equal shot at. I just don't feel like that should be so much a priority for merch. First come, first serve seems like the best system for merch, just like it is for pretty much all merchandise in the world. That is just the way I see it, and I don't think there is anything illogical about it. It's just me giving different meaning and priorities to different things, which is how the world works usually. *shrug*MG79478 wrote:Hugh Freaking Dillon wrote:maybe they should do a lottery for these incredibly limited items (where only people who bought fanclub tickets to the show are eligible to enter)
Sorry, this simple/practical solution has been suggested many times, and much like the previous suggestions, this will fall on deaf ears. Surprising that a group of people so obsessed with having a ticket lottery simply ignore this idea. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

All the reasons commonly stated for why a ticket lottery is good... not having the time to hit F5 due to family/work/other interests apply to merchandise. Whether it is standing in line at the venue or hanging out on a message board waiting for it to appear.
Everyone had fair and equal access to F5. One could argue that with multiple memberships now becoming the fad, that the lottery is more unfair than F5.0 -
