I'm honestly surprised at the amount of Pearl Jam fans that listen to Tool. Maybe I'm missing out on the great music Tool creates... nah.
Just try it.. start slow.. If you are a musician, especially a drummer, it is odd that you have missed these guys..
I've given them a few listens, but I find them obnoxious; especially when they release singles that are seven minutes long. I also think that all of their songs sound identical. There's no denying that their sound was original in the early 90's, but, to me, it hasn't changed at all in twenty years. That's just lazy.
Also, I prefer Meg White's drumming over Tool's; much more raw sounding. I'm not one who cares about how talented a musician is.

I am absolutely floored that I am the only ANTHRAX in all the lists..
These guys are the shit people, get on it!
I like Anthrax quite a bit and have seen them multiple times (first time when they headlined the Clash Of The Titans tour at MSG in 1991) but they didn't make my top 10 of the last 25 years. Among The Living is my favorite album by them. Spreading The Disease and Persistence Of Time are 2 other favorites of mine. Sound Of White Noise (with John Bush on vocals) is also quite good. I saw them do a "secret" show at a small club in NYC the night before SoWN came out...then went to the signing they did at Tower Records in the Village afterward. That was a fun night.
You see me empty, Sir, do not pause and inquire, simply assume and refill.

I grew up with all the Joe albums.. State of euphoria being one of my favs.. Persistence of Time is epic.. Intro and Belly of the Beast might be one of their best moments.. I got I'm The Man on vinyl.. BUT, I love the John Bush era!! Volume 8 is just sick!! Phil and Dime show up on that one.. great album.. I think it is crazy that I love this band no matter who is singing.. it is like 2 separate bands with the same name at 2 different times in my life and I love them both.. but anyways, glad to meet one fan on here

I need to pick up State Of Euphoria and Volume 8. Those are the biggest holes in my Anthrax collection.
I suggest we talk some more Anthrax this December in Seattle.
