Adam, I am happy for you and that Pearl Jam dedicated that song to your wife. I am glad I was there to witness that moment with over 40,000 other Pearl Jam fans. The concert was an unforgettable experience.

I couldn't have said it better than this. I can only add that reading it/seeing it on the tube only brings tears to my eyes thinking about the loss, and how it must feel...therefore hugging my wife all that more tighter every time I can...

Heart was with you the whole time! When they played it, all the BS with heat and lines and merch didn't mean a thing. I just remember saying, this band really does care about the fans. I cried the whole song with you.

Peace be with you my unmet friend, maybe I saw you at Mullen's and didn't even know it was you, we ate there too upstairs.

  • Adam,
First off so sorry for your loss. You may find a shred of solace in the fact that for me and I'm sure many other fans, we will think of her every time we hear that song. Her memory lives on, through the act of an amazing band and fan base, to people who never knew her. Thats what this community and this band are all about.

Thank you for posting this. I was wondering how you felt after Come Back was played. The feelings you are having - I can't imagine - don't even want to think about. Music does have some healing, affirmative power, at least to me and PJ sure helped you along the way. I'm so glad you got your wish. Peace to you and thank you for sharing Sarah with us.

We were upstairs too (7 of us). Maybe you recall some people carrying a table across the room? We were by the window and roasting, so we claimed a spot closer to the bar, but needed more space, thus the table. It was tough to be there because I was so thirsty from being outside, but beer and thirst don't mix with me. So I drank one beer then nothing but ice water, but boy more beer sounded good.

I have to think everyone who visits the forum thought of you and Sarah when Eddie started introducing Come Back. I'm so happy they played it for you. I wish you well.

If you remember a table of four guys, one having a long grey pony tail and goatee you saw us. ( I am not the goatee guy, but we probably crossed paths and didn't even know.

All the hope for your new journey and next step being great.

I'm sitting at my computer listening to the concert in earthcam, I hear Eddie talking about something that couldn't be deciphered. Then the chords for come back played. I couldn't believe it. I felt so happy for you and proud that we are all fans of the greatest band in the world. I couldn't wait to see and hear the video on YouTube. I've watched it 6 or seven times today alone. All I think of is Hoosiers while its playing.

I hope this is a step forward for you and you can begin the healing process.

So glad they played Come Back for Sarah. When Ed started telling your story, I looked at my husband and told him about the campaign to get it played and this is one of the many reasons why I love this band and love their music. Best band, best fans!
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

Hoosiers, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. This really touched my heart and I am in tears! I know how it feels to have this band touch you in a way you never knew was possible. I have had health issues {I won't go into detail here} for the last 2 years. I was really afraid and had some scary moments. I already knew that Pearl Jam is the greatest band ever, but it's so nice to see them really listen to us and make us feel like we are individually important. I hope this band and our jammly will help you through your grieving. Take care. Li
