Someone has the FREE red tote bag for sale for $45. Now that's just wrong.

Didn't know those were free but I laughed when I saw them on eBay since they're $5 here.

The girl right inside the building behind home plate offered it for free to everyone that bought stuff.

    Whoooooopsi.

Or do you mean in the shop on 10c? That's kind of funny too.

The whole thing was a mess, but my only complaint (and I think a fair one) was that the stands didn't have everything even when they opened!!

I knew it would be a disaster, and I was already off of work the whole week, so I drove down from north of Milwaukee, where I live, on Thursday specifically to get my merch out of the way so I could enjoy myself on Friday. I got there about 9:30 and patiently waited in line until 12 when they opened. I was only about 25--50 people deep in the line so I was calm and relaxed…then I get to the booth and they tell me they NEVER had the stickers, NEVER had the cards, NEVER had that "home run" 22 shirt, NEVER had the jacket just to name a few… as irritating as that was, it was worse when they told me the other booth had things they didn't and vice versa. What that meant for me, was that I came back down early on Friday and waited in line for another 3 hours just to buy some cards and stickers.

If you were in a 4 hour line and they were out of stuff, that sucks, but understandable, but if you are the first guy in line and they never had stuff…that's just wrong.

WTF happened at the W hotel merch sale?? It was a joke! The wireless credit card wouldn't work which made the wait 2 hours plus. Then they have the nerve to open more stands at Wrigley on Friday but they can't restock the merch at the hotel store for the travel package winners? :nono: Are you fucking kidding me? That left 2 free drinks as our BIG PERK! The money we spent for that package had nothing to do with the show and should have made the merch sale it's priority! On a positive note, the roof-top bbq/happy hour was awesome!!! We had a great time!

I'm with you on this one. I didn't bother to even wait for any of the merch at the hotel. I was hoping they'd have it open again because of the issues, but no luck. I was resigned to the fact of not getting any posters or shirts, because I refused to spend 5+ hours in line down by the venue. We entered Wrigley through the Captain Morgan Club (by accident, didn't even know they were letting people in through there), and stumbled across a Cubs shop in a small room right by it that had merchandise in it. I was able to get 3 of the 4 posters and the tshirt I wanted in under 5 minutes. I'm still missing the Cracker Jack poster, but trying to get 1 vs all 4 after the fact is much more doable. Hopefully 10C puts some up for sale and I'm able to snag one (or a kind soul on here has one at a good price). I know I've gotten some hard to find posters and tickets into peoples hands for original value a number of times.

I think they will definitely have the posters here for sale, but they may be a little more limited... kinda like the PJ20 posters that they sold here.. that sold out in a couple hours.

I was unhappy with the merch situation too. I always managed to at least get a poster at the shows I was attending, but this timrefused to stand in line for hours in the blazing heat. So we got nothing, well okay, we got memories :)
I hope some of the stuff will be made available on here.

If anybody hasa spare home run swestshirt in extra large, please let me know! That shirt is like my pj shirt dream come true :shifty:

I was shocked at how the merch was handled.

I have no problem with opening the merch booths a few days early but they should not have been located on the outside of the stadium where just anyone could walk by and buy something.

Secondly...why on earth doesn't Ten Club just offer a poster presale on here when you purchase your ticket? You can add $35 to the cost and get a poster. I've gotten a poster at every show I've been at except Wrigley...no one should be expected to wait in like for 3-4 hours just buy merchandise and now you can't get on ebay and get any of the posters for any less than $100 each, which is triple the price.

It was a mess but any way they did it it would be a mess.

So as I was leaving I saw that they were printing more shirts at the station by will call. Were these different then the ones they had all day or were they just pressing more and more on site to keep up with the demand? I don't think I saw it earlier at the booth.

They tried it and abandoned it, so there must be a reason. I can hypothetically think of a couple:

    - Extra work to roll and ship in that quantity
    - Print runs wound up being too high
    - Shut out of Ten Club tickets and have to fight it out on Ticketmaster? Also missing out on the convenience of having a poster delivered to your door.
    - They deal with a lot of different artists now. They all may not be keen on the idea of someone asking for their art to be printed in quantities to meet demand.

Didn't spend a single second in line or a single dollar on merchandise. Was only in Chicago for 3 days and there was no way I was wasting any of my time waiting in those lines. Didn't hurt that I felt the posters and t-shirts were both disappointing, but they could have stocked stuff I loved and I still would not have waited in those lines. My trip was awesome and given the chance I would change almost nothing. No regrets about merchandise that is for sure.

Not sure which two those are. The crackerjack one was the best of the four in my opinion. I was hoping for something like Mark 5 did for the St. Louis show in 2010 (Cardinals theme) or DMB had for their Fenway shows (Fenway theme). None of the four we got would have gone on my wall.

I agree with you on not having the booths outside the venue and I would love for them to bring back the presale on posters. I think they should really revisit that idea again. As far as the ebay stuff, just about all of the merch is 3x the actual selling price. Those 10 dollar pennants are snagging at least $40 now

I don't blaim them for the cc machine as that is technology and the hotel put them in the basement. What they could have done was to give you a form to fill out and have it delivered to your room. We were supposed to get that service in the package if I remember correctly.

At the very least, if they ran out of something they should have grabbed one and give it to you the next day. I ran into a couple that stood in line at the hotel and didn't get anything. Plus I'm not 100% sure that everyone at the hotel line were 10c travel package winners.

I thought the Wrigley merchandise situation was a fucking joke. The entire thing just allowed people to buy a bunch of shit early and then sell it for huge profit online. By this point, Ten Club knows this and they don't really seem to care. I showed up four hours before the show was supposed to start and they were out of most T-Shirts completely and only had small and medium for the two styles they had left. This is the same stupid ordering bullshit as the PJ20 Blu Ray set. They just drastically underestimate demand and the rest of us are left with nothing. It's pathetic.

Do us all a favor and make the t-shirts (at least) available on the website to purchase. Asking us to wait HOURS in line in the extreme heat and humidity, only to find out everything was sold out, was a really poor way to treat the fans. If it's an issue opening things up to the whole world, then only allow fans who purchased 10c tickets to Wrigley buy the merchandise online.

I just don't get limiting stuff like this. You make more money the more t-shirts you sell. Seems like there are literally thousands of people who could not get the merch they wanted. Give the band more money! Print more merch so we can all buy it and support the band I love. As it stands now, they are getting nothing else from me BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING TO BUY.

    Dear Pearl Jam,

You are NOT a small band. You sell out stadiums! Time to organize events like you're one of the biggest bands, because that's what you are.

No one is going to call you a sell out for managing a business.

PS Love my shirt and stickers :D
