Let us know your thoughts on elantris. I really enjoyed Sanderson's Mistborn. I want to read the way of the kings next by him, but sooner or later i'll probably read all of his stuff.Charlotte 00 | Charlotte 03 | Asheville 04 | Atlanta 12 | Greenville 16 | Columbia 16 |Seattle 18 | Nashville 22 | Ohana Festival 24 x2 | Atlanta 25 x20

Now I'm going to read this, to help psych myself up for the Wrigley show:
I finished this on the way back from the Wrigley show. Not bad, but not quite what I expected either. It definitely gets you excited to see PJ on tour.
I also finished the second Time book, A Wind Through the Door. This means I've read 25 books of my 60-book goal for the year. Woo!
I've decided to keep rolling with these kids books (cause they're fun, quick reads, and I need to get back on schedule). I'm now reading this:
Her previous books have touched on religious aspects before, but this one is much more overt. Nonetheless, it's still a fairly interesting read. I'm about 1/3 of the way through, and hope to finish it in the next couple days so I can start the fourth book in the series."Where's KW?"
"Let's check Idaho."0 -
Finally finished this...the beginning was interesting...then it got repetitive...and I eventually lost interest....
I may have bought more books this weekend... including this one that I just started...Show #13 was a lucky one for me....0 -

Elantris was pretty cool. A different sort of story and in this genre that is always refreshing. I really wanted it to keep going on although it is also different to read a 'one and done' in the genre.
Way of the Kings was awesome, I thought it was one of the best I have read in the last year.
I tried starting Mistborn a few times but didnt get past the first chapters. Those 3 will be read sometime soon.
Just started this last night; damn series take up so much time! The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -

I almost bought "Something Wicked..." this weekend too, but decided to just get "The Cuckoo's Calling" by JK Rowling since my birthday gift card would only cover one book.
How is "Something Wicked..."?"We're fixed good, lamp-wise."0 -
Recently finished Gregg Allman 'My Cross to Bear', and a paperback called 'Deep Shadow' by Randy Wayne White. Need a new book!0

I just finished reading Geoff John's
"Batman: Earth One".
Awesome take on the Batman origin.
I may check out some Nightwing titles next...
Cheers.'Cause you don't give blood and take it back again.0 -

I have the first book, but it got packed up before I had a chance to read it...
Fast read, I'm almost done and started Sunday night, something is wrong with the book or something...keeps making my eyes water and stuff. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Not bad. Not exactly what I expected, but it wasn't bad. I prefer the first two books in the series. Now I'm reading the last of the original Time Quartet:
Once I finish this, I'll read one more in this series to round off the Time Quintet, and then call it a day for the young adult books. I think I'm going to dive into the Edgar Rice Burroughs' Mars books next ..."Where's KW?"

Just finished Joyland last night. Another good quick read by SK.
I really liked this quote from the book:When you're twenty-one, life is a roadmap. It's only when you get to be twenty-five or so that you begin to suspect you've been looking at the map upside down, and not until you're forty are you entirely sure. By the time you're sixty, take it from me, you're fucking lost
