Ed & Glen Collaboration Confirmed

This made my day!!
Also love hearing how Ed called him out of the blue to help him with coping following the tragedy. When he told it at PJ20 he had the great reaction of regretting not saving the number.

Music is a gift. Can't it just be celebrated in any form?!
Anyone who experienced Ed and Glen can't deny the power of the duo's sound together. It's mountain moving. I love pearl jam. But isn't it ok to love their spinoffs? I really doubt that it will hinder a pearl jam release. If anything, I think exposure to others only strengthens pj's talent and energy. If Ed's mind is stuck somewhere else, wouldnt it make sense to let the music out instead of having his concentration distracted? Then he can come back to the root of where he belongs.
All 5 men have spent their lives supporting our music habits. It's time to show positive support for their own. You don't have to like it. But negative comments won't discourage me for enjoying something beautiful.0 -

The only thing we know is that the first single is named "Mind Your'e Manners". Yes, it's not a PJ track, it's on the label "Universal Republic Records" and that's Eddies label, Pj has (as you might know) "Monkeywrench" as label.karicorbitt wrote:Anyone heard anything about this recently?-95, Stockholm (MirrorBall Tour)

Is it just assumed that the rumored Mind Your Manners is a new pj single? Maybe it's actually Ed and Glen? Would make sense as it was stated that they wrote songs while on tour together and they definitely encountered their fair share of assholes at their shows.5/3/92 Omaha, NE

Whether it's a PJ single, or Ed/Glen single, I cannot wait to hear it!
When is the release date? "A beacon on dry land"0 -

Curious, but why would Ed have a different label than the one the band created to release its music? Or is Universal Glens label?...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0 -

very interesting thought0 -
Interesting that Glen's current tour goes through the end of August, he has no dates Sept-October, and then his tour picks up again November 7th.

This is a pretty big assumption! Pretty sure Backspacer was released through Universal outside of the US. They likely won't release in the US again just through Target so they will need a major distributor. Safe to say they likely use Universal again in some capacity if not world wide. Monkeywrench can't get the records out in stores world wide on their own. They only release through websites. They need a large record company to do that. I'm willing to bet it is a pearl jam song and not an Ed Glen collaboration. Also keep in mind that Eds Out Of The Furnace sdtk will be out in the fall as well as the pj album. Out Of The Furnace will be in theatres Oct 4.WhyNotSweden wrote:

From a marketing standpoint, it would make a TON of sense for Pearl Jam to release a new single the same week as the Wrigley show. Perfect time to build on the buzz, and promote a fall tour and album release.
It would make much less sense to release an Eddie Vedder/Glen Hansard track at this time.
In fact, I bet the Vedder/Hansard release gets pushed to '14, so as not to get lost in the Pearl Jam madness.0 -
