I think you're mistaken about the additional charge and what it applies to.
You'll see in my confirmation e-mail to you that the charge is specifically for INTERNATIONAL shipping and NOT a surcharge on the album you ordered.

I've pasted a copy of our shipping policy here for you. This policy is posted directly below the cart as you finalize orders at Jackpot Records.com. You'll see the international specific line marked in bold font.

The cart system we use does not have the ability to determine individual shipping charges for all international orders. That's why we contact each buyer individually with a shipping adjustment for THEIR address and not a blanket amount regardless of the country or ship-to location.

Hopefully you can understand that international shipments, even if they are just over the border from us, cost at least double that of a domestic order. The additional costs are applied ONLY to shipping, not to profit.

If you still feel that our shipping charges are unfair, I can cancel your order. However, I would like to remind you that this is a limited edition hand-numbered piece that will likely only be available here in the US. Meaning that import prices would be in effect for all record stores, individuals outside of the US.

Yup. Reading comprehension. :P I don't even remember for sure if I read it - i think i kind of skimmed it maybe - but if I did I wasn't picking up what they were putting down. Probably because I have never heard of such a thing before, and wrote it off. I do take the blame, but still, it's a dumb way of doing it. Even I have set up a system for a website that quotes shipping costs from the shipping address, and I know nothing about doing it at all. It just took having someone from the postal company talking me through it on the phone.
